Sawfish got a disease where they start to spin and die. Other fish in Keys are developing the same symptom where they start to spin.

It’s an across the board thing called the Spins by charter guys, usually only happened with bait fish but it’s since spread to other species. True cause is unknown to my knowledge.

A size 6, 8, or 10 sabiki rig loaded up w/ some little squid chunks on each hook might bring out some decent bait in back country waters, works pretty good in deeper brackish water to catch croakers & little sailcats.
