Great Job Steve! I just hope people can remember that in this sport parts break, engines fail and more often than not, the break is a result of the fact that the parts are being pushed past their physical limits or they wear out/fatigue faster than if those parts were under normal stress loads. The fact that he was able to start the car without any issues and dial it in on the dyno in only six or seven pulls that all went perfectly (save for the traction issues) is a testament to how good Steve is at building and tuning engines. Just want to throw it out there, but I think many of the casuals that aren't familiar with Steve Morris sort of underestimated how bad ass of an engine this man can build. Everyone loves throwing number around, but the old set up barely squeaked out 1300hp on the dyno and was bending rods every few passes. With that being said I'm actually impressed that LS withstood the abuse it was taking. All in all everyone should let it set in that this car is comfortably pushing 2000+hp without breaking a sweat. This man builds engines for some of the badest street (cough cough pro mod) cars in the US. It is an absolute privilege Cleetus is trusted with running one. This man is laying his reputation on the line I front of millions of viewers and mostly casual fans that don't understand racing. Not only does he earn my respect but I feel like I owe him a beer.
