I absolutely cannot describe the amount of respect I have for Luke. Not only as a strongman as a person. There are so few people in the world that appreciate how hard things can be, but Luke takes it in stride. He makes it abundantly clear that he cares. Not only to succeed for himself, but wants others to succeed and wants them to keep pushing, no matter how hard things get. I take a lot of motivation and inspiration from the way Luke carries himself and others through life and genuinely hope I get to meet him someday.

This is why I feel so much with the Stoltman. My mom passed from terminal brain cancer at around the same time it sounds and I found myself in a pit of depression for the first three years after she passed. Then I saw a video of Tom and Luke at worlds strongest man and thought, “I should try that”. Here I am a year and a half later about to go to my third competition. Hopefully one day I’ll get to make the trip to Scotland and be able to thank them for the inspiration.

Sitting here in tears listening to Luke. I lost my soulmate to an undiagnosed brain tumour in 2017 and I miss her so much and just wanting to hear her voice and see her interact with the 4 owls she had. Just now I am a carer for both my parents as my mum has Parkinsons and dad has Alzhiemers, both diagnosed over the past two years, we are seeing them both slowly slip away. Thanks again for this and thank you so much Luke for being so open

You are the voice and strength of Scotland. And your doing us proud, Yourself Luke, and your brother Tom. Keep us proud and chalk us up on that map, our wee country Scotland. I agree with you on leaving your husband or wife behind for a wee while. David and I have been married 31 years and have hardly been a part. It kills us. My mum died of dementia, again your right, it disturbs you, watching her slowly disappear and die is one of the hardest things going. Mum died five years before she did. And boy I miss her and my sister so much...

@@hippo6billion811 Luke was physically solid and I knew he was into body building later on in school. He was very good at Chemistry. The story I remember is with his friend Lewis Kerr. Lewis was a character and would eat earwigs and worms to impress the younger boys. Young boys are easily impressed. Well Lewis decided to drink the juices from a defrosting chicken in either Luke or Lewis's fridge. I believe Luke had a go as well. I was terrified they'd get salmonella poisoning. The boys in that class were really amusing. The sort that make teaching a delight. I could actually cry with laughing at the things they got up to. They were all near me on the front bench. Tom was an extremely courteous but very quiet boy. He was very tall and very thin. He actually never answered in class due to his autism. He had a classroom helper to cope with being in class. I am stunned to see how well he interviewes. Also his humour and just what an amazing guy he has become. I am proud to have crossed paths for a while. Luke gives amazingly wise advice. He is a natural teacher! This is longer than I meant. You can see my pride

Thanks Luke Stoltman for the interview and it was a "pep talk" to me. The discussion of being okay in these days and in some places its okay or accepted to make up excuses for not doing things. Accepting that when things do not meet your expectations in a Strongman event for yourself you have the mindset that it is on you and excuses are not valid. Holding yourself accoutable is getting to be a rare thing now and it is so good to hear. We both enjoy your You Tube page and thank you and Tom. I lift still at 59 sidelined with a left knee tear but back at lifting and it keeps me looking and feeling good. The oil rig work was like being gone as a US militray member retired but still working now in the electrical utlity industry. Thanks for the motivation! Go Luke and Tom cannot wait to see one of you win in the November 2020 in Florida. Luke its your time since your older. :)

One thing to fix Mulligans is to get yourselves microphones. Both the interviewer and the interviewee have to have microphones. And maybe don't rush to fill in the silence. I do podcasts as well, and I notice that silence can be majestic. Nobody is in a rush. If you don't think of something particular to say, let it be. It's best to speak when feeling really confident about what you have to say, whether a question or an answer. All these things I learned from a 4-week workshop back in the day and it helped me greatly to be a better speaker (when I perform this logic).
