Tom never even had to say a *WORD* about autism.... I will be honest. I never even HEARD the word "autism" nor did I think it even....with respect to Tommy I had NO idea, till I heard him (himself) mention it. .... so I'm thinkin' he's not even obligated to say a thing about it, going forward.... As far as THAT goes? Many times people do not expect lifters to be academics.... and Tommy ain't dumb in the slightest.... All he's gotta do, is keep doin it HIS way. ..........................n'He'll be FINE ... I never suspected a THING (only heard about it today, from Tom). So to me? Tommy is as typical an athlete as you can have ... and he'll likely be a SuperStar too
@brandonmartin30474 жыл бұрын

Thanks for the intimate interview with Tom Stolman! I have enjoyed the Stoltman Brothers You Tube channel and have liked The Worlds Strongest Man and other competions since the 1980's. I did not know he had Autisum/Aspergers I have ADD and was as painfully shy and lack confidence until I entered the US military and then started weightlifting shortly after I joined. Tom mentioned being around postive people and family and that is huge along with proper diagnosis if a condition arises. Tom and Luke are a good example of the attitude to have even though some days its hard. Much older then Tom and even Luke but I hope they do pull 1st and 2nd in The Worlds Strongest Man in Florida. Will be watching and even though I live in Indiana in the US I will be pulling for Tom and Luke. 1st and 2nd place either of you!
@AutomationDnD4 жыл бұрын
I was sayin' the SAME thing.... till today??? I had *No Idea* Tommy had anything like that goin' on so.... as far as I'm concerned he need not talk much about it~ he's gonna be a CHAMP no matter what, and both those boys are great examples of Men. .... Tommy's likely gonna break records / set new standards in the sport & he's got a good full 10 years to work on it, as long as he doesn't injure himself badly

13:23 But Tom, you are NOT "away from family" when you do strongman. There has ALWAYS been Luke, who, for all of his ruggedness, is like a protective mother-hen. Yours is a unique, positive situation...and you are taking positive advantage of it.

The topic of special needs is kinda sensitive for me since i was diagnosed with something I don’t actually have. But that people tell you you won’t achieve anything was just a constant thing until I wasn’t a child anymore. And that’s why this is really inspirational to me and i’m a fan of tom. Because no matter what people say, you can be who you want to be. Don’t let people stop you.
