CLANG is my favorite from World Domination, but people don't seem to mention it that often. Not sure why except that they just have so many good songs, you can't mention them all. The bass-tapping intro was also phenomenal!

Only because the great live recording was taken off YT. It can be found on another I can't mention on YT. I used to request this song all the time but YT deleted my comments.

I can imagine a lower case misa in school. Learning music for the first time. The teacher is like "Now Misa-chan, this is a bass guitar." And then Misa would reply "Lead Guitar." Teacher would try to correct, but alas it would never take. Now capital letter MISA is all grown up, tapping out battles with Kanami.

This is exactly J-rock!! There are heavy sounds, catchy choruses and unique guitar solos, and there are also parts where the crowd can sing along. ps: Vlad-san's videos are all precious stuff and I absolutely love them

Gosh, I was at that concert, right behind Kanami's monitor. I had not heard that song before that concert and wanted to learn it ever after. That song blasted after that tapping intro and got me sooo excited! Next time I go, I bring ear protectors though, was actually painful to go without ^^

At that moment, I was just in front of Miku and Saiki (fourth or fith row). It was insanely hot there (middle of a heat wave and no airco) and still they played incredibly energetically till the end!

Should check out Vladimir's Hamburg Version of this song too, has some crazy close ups of Kanami.

Yes, the sound is better in the Hamburg ones. Only people in front of me were pumping their fists in the air too much at times. And that damn pillar in the middle...

one of my top fave tracks. the first four bars of the solo just grabs the ears so hard. for me it's the most exotic set of notes played by mincho-zilla -- until that short phrase in sayonakidori which was played in unison.

@@Bekka_Noyb ASTERISM has a bassist, MIYU, who's playing 7-string bass. He's tapping a lot. My impression was rather that the bassists tap much more often than the guitarists. Maybe it's just the music I'm listening to, though 🤷♂

Clang is in my top 5 BAND-MAID songs. I love the vocal melody and its really really heaviness. Sadly it flies under the radar so much, like so many other of their hidden gems.

MISA MISA MISA! this is a rare one for me It is my Favourite song off of the WD album (and in my top 5 overall) but I am not fussed with the live versions I have seen (including the Zepp 2018) the Drums get muddied or lost depending on the vid. Did love it live when I saw it in person in LA but unfortunately the tapping start was only for the Europe leg.

In the music magazine interview, Akane said this song was so difficult to play and she was crying at the practice.
@VladimirChupin3 жыл бұрын
I thought it was DICE... But in fact, we don't know exactly which song in WORLD DOMINATION she considers the most difficult in terms of drumming. At least, I have not read any interview where she would speak about it. On the other hand, she spoke a lot about Unseen World songs, we know that NO GOD is the most difficult. I only remember that when Kanami brought the drum parts to Akane, she said it's not for humans to perform. And that's when her gorilla nature was revealed because she coped with all those challenges excellently.

@@Puyax01 Yeah, it was very nice... unexpectedly so. I was on MISA's side, and that would have created a danger of bass overload. But I was a bit deeper into the crowd, and the overhanging speakers provided enough volume to compensate for this. As a bonus, Miku's guitar is very high in the mix. It's a rare occasion where we can see and hear her so clearly. She's really good as a guitarist, but this fact gets obscured often because she's flanked by those amazing goddesses, MISA and Kanami...
