Sorry late to the party, good thing about KZbin and finding quality creators is that no matter if you take a few days off social media and internet there is an abundance of content to catch up on :) if your not catching fish or catching up on fishing videos what are you really doing??!! Cheers for the constant uploads and getting me out of the house yesterday. I needed it 😊

I got my PB whiting lol (PB smallest whiting on lure) it may even be, the world record 🤣🤣

Practice mate.
@bushfishncook21282 ай бұрын
Cheers mate, as Andy said it's all about practise, all I do is throw lures basically, one tip that got me better with plastics, watching other people use them and trying to understand, the techniques and exactly why they work, it's really about just replicating, a dieing baitfish or trying to make a prawn/shrimp plastic, look alive... A few quick hops and a pause in-between, works for most plastics, uli find mixing up the hops on the day can help, sometimes the fish want a faster or slower retrieve, finding what is working on a certain day definitely helps. Cheers for watching legend 👍🎣

Here's a simple thing that will change things up. When slow rolling the plastic, stick your forefinger out so the line catches it as it passes. This sets up a slight stutter in the movement of the lure which seems to be quiet attractive to many species.

@@bushfishncook2128 thanks mate, I’m learning to jig/hop me plastics at the moment, for me it’s not really about learning how to do it, but actually doing it, as I didn’t really have anyone to teach me how to lure/softplastic fish when I started fishing, I know how to do it, but completely forgot to
@TobysfishingNoutdoors2 ай бұрын
@@AndrewFishman I’ll definitely try that, a little vibration in the plastic? Do u know why they like it?

Nice setup, Mick 👍🏼. There are a few nice places to fish along the river. I remember working on a few building sites there years ago and they were looking pretty restricted little houses and building residential areas. Great video mate. That’s a nice flatty mate.

I love walking the Parra fishing, the only problem I have, is the Karen's... To many spots along there we are told we can't fish, recreational fishing doesn't harm anyone... It would help, if every fisherman would just look after the area they fish. It's not hard, to take your rubbish with you, I have seen some shocking fisherman over the time, with zero respect for our waterways, it's people like that, who ruin it for others and should go find a new hobby... It's supposed to be a free country and being told you can't fish, from the river bank is just wrong... As I mentioned in this video, if you talk to people with respect, you can usually still fish though 👍

@@bushfishncook2128 Leaving dead carp all over the lake shore is not a good look for us :( I wish people would clean up and dispose of ALL their litter and their dead freaking carp.

Good vid 💯🤙 really appreciate that your reply to every comment. How often do you fish a week?
@bushfishncook21282 ай бұрын
Cheers mate, appreciate the comment 👍 I usually fish every afternoon, if i finish early enough, I also fish at least one day on the weekend, sometimes both haha Keeping that in mind, I usually only film once a week, sometimes two if I have a tough session. All videos are filmed in one day, unless otherwise specified, like the recent video, fishing 3 nights at the canal. Tight lines out there 🎣
