Happy European Day of Languages!
Sequel with languages I don't speak: - • the bad apple multilan... -
A Cappella: - • 【Multilanguage Cover】T... -
★ ↓ MY LIFE AND CREDITS ↓ ★
I put a lot of tears into mixing this c':
I haven't done a multilanguage cover in two years... I'm getting old. They were originally a subscriber milestone special thing, but then the last one never got finished rip
Alas, this is a multilanguage cover I had planned two years ago the MOMENT I heard this arrangement, but again, never did :))) It's so pretty though, isn't it? aaaaa
Anyway, I decided to finish it for today but I'm very tired, so instead of at noon, this is premiering in the evening cri
There are quite a few languages here to celebrate the day and showcase their poetic capabilities!
Just a note: I have studied all of these languages myself, so I hope I haven't totally butchered them because that would be embarrassing oof but if you're wondering why any given language isn't here, it's because of limited lyrics space and the fact that I don't speak every single language in existence sdjfsldk sorry
Enjoy!!

@@CatherineAvila-ce3bw Common misconception, but bad apple wasn't originally a Vocaloid song, Its originally a song that was sung by Nomico, which was a remix of a song from the Touhou soundtrack. Funnily enough, despite the song not being affiliated with the Vocal-Synth franchise, there are a lot of covers of Bad Apple with Vocal-Synthesizers such as Hatsune Miku. I'm genuinely baffled by how good your Russian was. I mean, it's not like "native level", because there actually was quite a noticeable accent at times, but holy shit, I would be lying if I would say that I wasn't impressed, especially considering the fact that, according to the comments, you have nailed most, if not all of the other languages. That's what I call dedication!

Same, it’s so fascinating and interesting as someone who only speaks English to see the structure of the sentences so directly compared, really gives some insight into how the translations work (and why poorly translated English sounds so off; they’re literally breaking their sentences apart and restructuring them to fit ours in a lot of cases)
@recordofragnarokisapurehyp6660

@@swordsmancs That's very true. I am a native Polish speaker and a writer and I constantly have this problem whenever I want to send my stories to my friends who don't speak Polish. Even if I use the good translator and then correct some mistakes or I translate everything by hand, I do mind flips and structural combinations because English is so stiff. In Polish you can change the order of the verb and put it in the beginning, middle or in the end and there is at least 50% chance you will build a sentence correct and it will even sound natural depending on the context (for example the sentence before and after). We just... Build sentences.

@@swordsmancs Once I was talking with my German friend and when German is more similar to Polish when it comes to sentence structure (both aren't English level stiff) but she couldn't understand how we can put the adjective AFTER the noun which is described by it and it can still be correct.

Eagle eyed watchers may have noticed that at 2:17 with 今切ないの? Am I now lethargic? and 今悲しいの? Am I now sad? , the 'Am I' is never highlighted. That's because Japanese language does not require a verb, or a subject, to form a complete sentence. Instead you can use what's called an i-adjective, a type of word that doesn't exist in English, to make a complete sentence, and the listener must derive the subject and verb from context.

I mean, polish is not that hard it's more of "easy to learn, hard to master" the main problem of speaking Polish is first learning how to pronounce all these phones like: ą, ę, sz, cz, ś, ć etc. the second problem is learning the declension by all 7 cases which, in combination with the declension by persons and plural form, cause several dozen versions of 1 word so basically, if you learn the pronunciation of Polish phones, there should be no problem with reading or singing, as it comes down to proper pronunciation, not understanding the meaning

Our language doesn't get noticed very often, much less pronounced so well by a foreigner. As a Hungarian, I feel like the parent who awaits their child's part during a play each time waiting for the lyrics in my mother tongue. But this isn't the only reason this cover is so important to me. It signifies something much bigger than just a KZbin cover of a song. Music is a universal language, the feelings it conveys are the same everywhere. But it brings together many non-universal languages. I greatly appreciate that you took the time to practice all the pronunciations and sang it all alone. You could've just asked around for other people native to those languages, but you choose to unite them under an outstandingly great cover. Edit: I just felt like adding the fact how proud it makes me to listen to this. Proud of being Hungarian, European, a human. Part of a society with so many beautiful languages, so many beautiful and diverse cultures to appreciate.

Ok, as a Dutch guy, you do not know how native you sound. EVERYONE screws up Dutch pronunciation. Everyone! Even the ones that do it well. They still sound very robotic as my language just has some very unnatural sounds making foreigners always sound "foreign" when speaking the language, even if they do it well. But you, you went right to the heart. The German sounded great, the French sounded great (two languages I speak quite well), but then I heard your Dutch and I got this shiver down my spine because I was like "that's not some international guy doing a cover. That's a Dutch guy talking about his mental issues!" That's how native you sound! Like I was hearing a Dutch edgy teen. (not an multilanguage cover of a song done by a guy from who knows where!) It's not even "good pronunciation", This. Is. Native. This is what I heard around me every single day. You are the only person I know who has ever been able to do that. And the fact you are not only able to do this to me, but also to the native speakers of all/most of the other languages in the video. It makes you a language god far above those "polyglots" of KZbin. Man, you're just, you're on another level when it comes to languages. (And I haven't even mentioned the fact the text in the languages I can understand sounds beautiful and was beautifully sung by you. Is there anything you can't do!?!?)
