I think it’s ridiculous to have all those trucks that far out into the country all you need is 2 Engine and a water truck need to keep something in town just in case you get another call Somewhere else

The initial call, "multiple camper trailers on fire with possible extension into a house". I don't know what the run card calls for, but it's there if needed. Here we have an automatic primary and two mutual aid for a building fire. It's up to command to release any units not needed. I don't know how many stations are in each of those towns either. I haven't lived in that area since 1980.

it looks like quite a distance and if you have a call come in like this one was you run what you have SOP and the commander should make a call as to what needs to be used and what needs to be sent back

@@jimbrewer2893 Kind of similar to departments near me. 4-5 departments joined up and run Auto mutual aid to any fire call with in there jurisdictions

While I understand what you're saying, I don't think it's right. If the fires were in the town or city would their service be cut? No they most certainly would not. People are losing their homes and maybe everything they own in the world. So why should they not be given the best chance ever. I don't know whether you're a fireman or you know someone who is. And what you just said above is something they have said to you. If that is the case I'm wrong and I apologize. If you're just giving your opinion (and you are entitled to your opinion) then you are wrong and you're basically saying the country people are not as important as the city/town people. And that attitude is very wrong. Thanks for listening to my rant.

@@cathy7861 Cathy, I was a firefighter and officer for 30 years but not in a city. you may have misunderstood what I was talking about and what I said is true for small communities and rural areas. SOP may have confused you
