That’s the problem, they won’t enforce the laws against criminals effectively, and they just release them back into society, and when the criminals repeat their violent crimes, the govt officials, and the ones who are responsible for letting them out, cry “Why does this keep happening to our city? This needs to stop!”, as if they didn’t know what would happen when they put the thugs back out on the streets. When criminals know they can commit crimes with little or no consequences, of course they are going to be emboldened by that, and they will commit even more crimes. It seems like the people who are responsible for enforcing the law, and keeping criminals behind bars, they enjoy the chaos and destruction they create by putting hardened criminals back on the streets. If they didn’t enjoy it, they would stop being so lenient on violent criminals. If they didn’t enjoy it, they would actually enforce the law, and give appropriate prison sentences to violent offenders. They would stop giving bond to violent offenders. They don’t care, because they have private security, or they live in wealthy neighborhoods, and their poor decisions to release criminals back into the community don’t affect them. That’s why they don’t enforce the law.

idk about you but it's been part of their socialization since I was a kid for young black men to prove how tough they are, the stakes just keep getting steeper and the hoops they jump through to prove they're "not an uncle tom" are getting held higher. The next time a transgender person brings up "we're being murdered" ask by who. Idk how else to shake some leftists awake that the social contract we all live by is eroding, I don't want to live in a trustless society. We're going to see a politician in our lifetimes that wants to bring back Jim Crow tier legislation and people will be cheering for it if this isn't paid attention to, this sort of thing doesn't only hurt cities or towns -- it's going to hurt POC in very lasting ways. Where I live just only recently turned into a sundown town, for instance, so has my parents' municipality. They just don't sell homes to anyone darker than a peach crayon. This will force folks to live in cities and towns with higher crime rates, and stores will not operate within city limits, making matters worse. Workers here don't usually want to work outside of their municipality because of the extra local tax levied on "out of town" paychecks -- you're taxed by BOTH towns, where you live and where you work. Schools will get worse in these places, houses will be worth much less, property/local taxes will raise to cover crime related damages, I imagine some insurance companies will not want to cover folks who live in these places, etc. It would be an almost unstoppable cycle if that happens.
