First day, I did 4 sets of 10 early on, then in the same day but later, 3 sets of 10. Noticed improvement in walking and stance early the next morning, this morning. I'm very excited about this. I will continue this exercise and can hardly wait to see more improvement!

MS is a neurological disease -- not a loss of muscle and strength-- so these exercises without band are great if your neurological system still working, as it is for my right foot. In that case, there is value in these moves, to maintain what you still have , and keep moving. But if your neurological disconnect has progressed to where my left foot is -- these exercises are not possible without band -- thanks for suggesting exercises with "help"--- recognizes the disease and its limits. thanks --!

I know you’ll say never give up hope, but I’ve been working on my foot drop for a couple years with zero improvement. How do I know when the damage is so extreme that it’s essentially paralyzed?

Have you watched Trevor‘s videos on neuroplasticity? There’s about 10 videos a minute each talking about rewiring your brain to develop new pathways to move your muscles. Check it out. I’ll post a link below.
I help out Trevor with KZbin. Do your best, even just trying to underweight your foot without even lifting it is powerful. It’s not going to be instantaneous. It will take time.

My foot drop has gotten pretty bad. My neuro is suggesting Botox for it. Have you heard of that helping?

Botox will help with a Spasticity but it’s not going to improve your foot drop to improve foot drop. You need to strengthen those muscles. Even if you can just focus on unwitting your foot that will help strengthen.
