Multitool Axe Restoration. In this video, I restore a rusty multitool ax. This multitool has an ax, hammer, nail puller, screwdriver. It was made in 1960-1980. I removed all the rust. And restored the multitool. I hope you enjoyed my restoration of an old rusty ax and hammer.

Я із батьком подорожували роверами з Львова до Ужгорода і в серпні 91 купили такий самий в Мукачеве. Він і досить у мене в піхвах і з рідним руків'ям. Користуюсь де не де. А от батька в вересні 91 не стало. Дякую за відео!

Супер! Сокирка скопійована совєтами з сокирки Гітлерюгенда - дуже символічно! Накладки пораджу робити з капа клена ясенелистого - дешевий і доступний матеріал, - попередньо провареного у льняній (на крайній випадок) олії - будуть як бурштинові.

@@ReXtorer , я робив так: свіжоспиляний кап (нарост прикореневий), розпиляв його на брусочки і проварив з годину у насиченому сольовому розчині для того, щоб при висиханні не розтріскався, потім сушив його замотаним у ганчірки (вже не пам'ятаю скільки але точно не менше 2 місяців), після чого він став легшим чи не у півтора рази. Вже висушені брусочки поклав у морозилку на ніч а потім склав їх у консервну банку від ананасів (тут вже в залежності від кількості) пустоти позакладав щебнем - для економії олії і щоб бруски не плавали як гімно у ополонці, - залив льняної олії і на парову баньку на годину. Потім знову сушка. Брусочки знову трошки поважчають і колір стане схожий на бурштиновий. Та це все дуже розтягнуто в часі і можна просто взяти готовий стабілізований кап або, принаймні, висушений. Доречі, у моїх роликах є накладки з капу, який був варений в солі і після висушування та обробки мазаний Даніш-ойлом. На той час я, на жаль, не збирався варити в олії.

my one is very similar except it says Germany on one side of the hatchet and on the other D.G.M nr. 5664-87. I figured it was for West German boy scouts as it's a bit small for practical use. I bought it from someone who thought it might be HitlerJugend but I was skeptical, I paid a fair price for it so I'm happy with it.

I'm curious about your use of chemicals for removing the rust. Did you create an acidic mixture to first remove/loosen the rust, and neutralized any remaining acid with baking soda/natron? If so, what did you spray on the multi-tool that caused further reaction?
