Iron Man Tony Stark was a no-show in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but why is that actually a good thing? Open up a Wealthfront investment account today through my link www.wealthfront.com/rockstars and get your first $5,000 managed for free! Thank you to Wealthfront for sponsoring this video.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness introduces us to the Illuminati of the 838 Universe, but wisely avoids showing us the Iron Man Tony Stark of that universe, despite rumors that Robert Downey Jr. might return, or that Tom Cruise might cameo in the role. But is Iron Man's irreplaceability after the Infinity Saga actually part of a smarter strategy by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige? In this new miniseries called "Feige's Plan," Erik Voss explains the bold choices to establish Tony Stark as the central figure to the MCU in its first three phases, and how any attempts to replace him with a variant in Phase 4 will not lead to the same success the character had in earlier films.

I feel like the empty chair could be for Namor, since in the comics he leaves the Illuminati cause he disagreed on them voting to send Hulk into space. He could of disagreed with killing their Strange, so he left before they killed him so he didn't feel like he was part of it.

After watching this video it made me think of the scene in "What if...?" where The Watcher is choosing Gamora to join the Guardians of the Multiverse. He says "not you Stark" after Tony makes a threat, it's a small blink and you'll miss it- moment, but even animated you can feel the emotion from the Watcher. It's like he is seeing an old friend who he saved the universe with, but in this universe Tony has no idea who or what the Watcher is. The Watcher has seen our universe and knows how important Stark is.

As someone who watched the original Ironman in theaters at 21yrs old and, over the past 14yrs, has become cemented in my fandom for all things Feige, I firmly believe that RDJs interpretation of Tony Stark is rightly left untouched. It was the unlikely catalyst to what has become a movement in cinema and storytelling, and to reimagine the character haphazardly would be a great disservice to the roots of what we've all come to love. RIP GBPP

@@budgiecat9039 Just because Tony had the infinity stones doesn't mean that he could use them like Thanos did without repercussions. When Thanos did the snap it was no big deal for him.
