So, Warner Bros. free-to-play cross-platform brawler is coming back, and according to the gargantuan publisher and developer Player First Games this incarnation is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
It’s a tall order to sway player perception following the disastrous climax of MultiVersus’ open beta period, which ended in June 2023. Greedy monetisation, a lack of content, and glitchy online play plagued MultiVersus before now, but seeing as this new version has been rebuilt from the ground up, we’re expecting big things.

Most people in the comments are so clueless. 1. The game was FREE before and will still stay FREE 2. You’re weren’t required to “buy” any characters, They were unlocked with in game currency you earned from doing challenges and completing matches 3. They literally gave you 4 different characters to use/try for free every couple of weeks, it wasn’t the same set characters the entire time 4. THEY HAD ON THE MENU THAT IT WAS IN AN OPEN BETA AND THAT THE GAME WOULD CLOSE TO GET WORK DONE TO REFURBISH EVERYTHING 5. The people hating aren’t even reading this far if they made assumptions in the comments before educating themselves

1 it took a actual eternity to unlock characters, and characters are a BIG reason why you play this kind of game 2 you could only play against other players, i for one, am a casual gamer and could not winn a single match. 3 extremely smal ammount of repetitive stages, add onto that the single character you have unlocked, and being matches with competitive or profesional players, and it suddenly becomes VERY booring VERY quickly

This was announced when the game first came out you just didn’t pay attention, it literally said on the menu screen that it would be open beta and they announced the game would eventually close until the finish the product.

@@VolfSwervo I know it was an open beta. But most open betas don't sell battle passes and go offline. It was mismanagement and may have cost this games shot at wide acceptance. Considering the active player count was dropping which caused them to go offline as well. This was treated like it was early access and it wasn't. It was a beta... there's a difference
