I am honestly hyped for that because the Rowdyruff Boys along the girls were one of my most wanted characters for the game, and the fact that they aren't forgotten either as variants is just amazing. And since Mojo Jojo's voice actor is the same voice actor for Butch, i honestly hope that Rob Paulsen can come back to reprise his roles as Brick and Boomer.

My hope for costumes/skins for the leaked fighters: Daffy - Both old school and tv show Duck Dodgers costumes as well as him dressed like Green Lantern Aquaman - I mostly want a DCAU skin with his hook hand. Samurai Jack - definitelly we need the bearded armored look from the last season and maybe stuff like the party street clothes he gets in that one episode Ruby - Easy woild be at least giving her both her Mistral and Atlas arc outfits and maybe something like her outfit from the JL crossover movie

I really like the game from a gameplay standpoint, people complain about it being slow and floaty, but idk I dig that. When I'm hitting someone with Superman and Jason IT FEELS like I'm hitting them. I'm not just dashing around like a 7 year old on pixie Stix What I really hate is the character unlocks and currencies. I have no issue grinding for characters, but when I reach a point where I'm just Stagnant in my progress for just playing the modes I wanna play, it feels terrible. I wouldn't care if the fighter unlocks were 12,000 fighter gems if I could slowly earn them through simple matches. Just feels really crappy and makes me not wanna play

If there's one characters I'm iffy about in the "datamined" section....its Ruby. Simply put, after rt was killed, the RWBY staff said that they were looking for another company to buy the ip. So my skepticism is basically if they do actually get bought, then Ruby won't be in the game since thier no longer owned by Warner Brothers. And obviously if they aren't successful, she'll be there. Despite the datamines, Ruby in Multiversus depends ENTIRELY on whether CRWBY finds a buyer for the series. Just gotta wait and see.

Warner Brothers DC might be one trying to buy. Years ago when Rooster was sold the contract might have required that all properties be put on the open market if Rooster was shut down Warner could not transfer properties to other parts of it's company. And thus Warner DC might be buying RWBY yes Warner will be paying it self but people with Rooster when it was sold will be getting part of the sales.

Velma has multiple voice clips directly talking to Scooby. Not just referencing him, but lines like "Aw, sorry Scooby, I'll make it up to you later" (for winning a match against Scooby) or "Bad dog, Scooby Doo" after getting KO'd by him in a match. I believe she has 4 sets of lines, with 3 or 4 lines per set, some for being on a team with him and some against him. I imagine Shaggy does as well, though I haven't listened to his voice clips yet. EDIT: Yep, Shaggy has them too. So that probably puts Scooby on the "newly datamined" list, or at least tangential to it.

Black Lanterns aren't really lzombies in the traditional sense but rater the the Black Lanturn ring's power being associated with death warps the user's mindset and giveing them a corpse like apperce. I highly recommend the Blackest Night story comics as thats were the Black Lanterns were introduced. Its a good read.

I'm not against the idea of the Echo Fighters concept, just I would like it if they can bring in something to make them as different to the original but still having the OG as a base and feeling familiar but different. Like Pickle Rick for example, in the one episode where he appears as this infamous one off gag in the series, he fights with melee and traps and less range and no buffs/debuffs so it would make sense to give him a class change to being say an Assassin instead of Rick's usual Mage Class, it's how I would imagine him being an echo fighter familiar but different to stand out from the OG and not feel like an over glorified skin. I'm fine with the idea and even to some extent with the possible joke character Mr Meseeks being a fighter like Banana Guard was handled they had assets and did a lot of work on this enemy and was like "screw it let's make it a fighter and not feel like we wasted budget on this" as long as other Rick and Morty fighters are added on top of Meeseeks it should level out the outrage. Summer, Bird Person and Skrawnch I think his name is the cat guy voiced by Tom Kenny that can go Hulk mode when needed and I guess Mr Poopy Butthole as well could easily be made into fighters since they've been around a lot so you can't go wrong adding them in. Same logic applies to more Adventure Time characters added after Banana Guard.

I find odd that Jake has a Cake skin (voice included), but Finn doesn't have Fiona (is that her name?). A Fiona skin for Finn would be cool. I want Brock Samson (Venture Bros.) for MultiVersus. The game needs another Adult Swim representative, and I think Brock would be a neat addition. Also, has anyone noticed how much Johnny Bravo he looks? Black t-shirt, blue jeans, blond hair... Minus the sunglasses, but everything else points that way. Not to mentioned he has a hunger for women, just like Johnny Bravo. Well, 2/3 of my most wanted characters are already coming, so that just leaves TOM. Put him in there with a moveset based on iconic anime moves from shows that aired on Toonami. Make Absolution the stage. Have a TOM announcer voice. It designs itself!

Since RWBY has found a new owner and it’s likely that WB was involved in finding the new owner it could be likely that the company they found has a close relationship with WB and that they’re adding Ruby Rose to Multiversus to make a little extra money off of the series while it’s still owned by WB before all of the contracts are signed to hand RWBY off to the new owners.

You’re under the assumption that RWBY was sold to a different company. They said that they were selling it but that doesn’t mean that they actually did they said they would sell that Looney Tunes movie to another company to show streaming and they didn’t do that. Ruby was in the works to be in the game well before the games launch during beta testing contracts, most likely were already signed over for the game since it was a WB character at the time and still is to are knowledge right now.

I wonder if every character getting a shark hat alt is possibly for some sort of Shark Week related cross promo since WB Discovery own well.. the Discovery Channel? Udate: I just watched the rest of video. Should have waited before commenting Shark Week has alway a pretty big deal for Discovery even prior to the merger and it wouldn't even be the first time Shark Week was cross promoted in a video game before as Hungry Shark Evolution had a Shark Week themed collab one time. Plus it makes sense for some sort of Discovery Communications realted content to appear in a crossover game freatureing various proment WB Discovery ips. Imagine if they ended up makeing an actual Great White Shark as a fighter as well?

You would think that from the beta the developers would learn to keep the datamine character off for future updates, but the internet is very creative. Have mixed feelings on the game, but is still overall fun and excited for the future characters being added. Great video overall, and man the rooster truly went all out on the characters. Question: Which leak character are you hyped to see? Mine is Ruby because I knew Jack and PPG would be added, but thought she would be added in the game.

Rick calling Ruby “Little Miss Anime” makes 0 sense. Anime is either referred to as a “Japan Animation” which Ruby is not, or specifically in Japan itself, animation in general, which would make Rick Mr. Anime.

To summarize the situation with Ruby,RWBY, and Rooster Teeth: I think it’s been discussed before but I think they are keeping the IP but just having another studio do the work for em,So they don’t have to fund it I’ve heard multiple times from people and rewatching the old podcasts that they never mentioned themselves selling the IP Just partnering They were doing the same patterning stuff even before the shutdown as Kerry nothing changed for RWBY in its current state when they did the not final goodbye stream They’ve been describing giving rwby a new home before back in 2023 when they had volume 9 on crunchy roll The variety article jumped the gun and assumed before RT themselves officially said stuff about the situation and even knew that they were getting shutdown. Also RWBY also seems like an IP they would keep anyway due to the popularity overseas And Warner has said they wanted more anime like content etc

I know it was probably signed before but really feels weird of WB bringing a RWBY rep into Multiversus just a month after closing Roosterteeth and firing everyone who worked on it. Very on brand for current WB tho

im surprised that they're taking action against leakers, because their ability to prevent leaks was unironically so bad that i thought it was a marketing strategy especially considering there's more characters in the other sections (total) of 1:07 than there are in Confirmed Characters. Much less where we're at right now. 11:35 ...including tara strong? and you don't see the issue there? then again i guess we already passed that threshold with bad harley quinn voice over there 12:16 isn't bubbles associated more with aqua though? that being said B works for her by default, and her name starts with a B 23:14 WOOOOO! not that i should unlock that since i'd like to be able to play this game (if i get back into it ever) with my parents around but still, i like it by principle

If smash discussions have taught me anything, it's to temper my expectations It would be really cool to have Ruby in this game, but presently, RWBY's future as an IP is still uncertain because of Rooster Teeth being shut down. Also i dont feel like we should have Rigby without Mordecai

Viz Media just announced at Anime Expo that they acquired the rights to RWBY following Rooster Teeth's closure; I think it's safe to assume Ruby will be scrapped just like Gandalf.

The truth is that the Nintendo Switch 2 is releasing next year. Sakurai didn't allow Goku into Smash Ultimate because he wasn't a Video Game character primarily. But now that Sakurai has essentially retired from Smash... Nintendo will push forward with another Smash.... So, we now are offically in the race to see which Platform Fighter gets anime characters including Goku first. Cause either Smash or Multiversus goes after Goku or its only a matter of time before a new rival Platform Fighter is built for just anime characters. Whoever gets Goku first might just become THE Platform Fighter... period. Especially for Causal crowds.
