The BEST advice I saw was on an Instagram post a few weeks ago. I was getting all stressed about should I start sleep training, should I get him to nap independently rather than a cuddle, he should probably have an earlier night, comparing routines to other people…. “It’s only a problem if it’s a problem for you” 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Stressing over things I think I ‘should’ be doing when in fact everything is working perfectly right. If it’s not a problem, it doesn’t need addressing right now 💁🏼♀️

So true!! I keep thinking to myself..... should I be nap training my baby or not. Every book says I should lay him away awake / half awake. He is nearly 7 months now, but all he needs is a little 3-5 minute cuddle and rock and he's gone and it works so perfect at the moment. And if I lay him away awake or even half asleep, first thing he does is stand back up again and party (he is always on the go go go! Crawling, standing, etc) But it works for us and he naps in his cot. So maybe some day I will try and train him, but for now he naps like an angel. So why disturb it!

One of the best pieces of advice I give new mums is naptime is YOUR time. Try to do housework etc when the baby is AWAKE for example put baby in bouncer in the kitchen when you’re washing up / doing bottles etc. Put baby in high hair with a snack when cleaning the kitchen or do it when they’re eating lunch. Clean the bathroom while baby is in the bath (if they can be in a sit up seat etc) put washing away while baby is playing on the floor in the room with some toys etc. So when nap time comes round, sit down with a brew and just relax or take a nap yourself! X

You’re are amazing, I was pregnant with my first baby during COVID ( everything was closed ) and I had no idea what I was going to buy for the baby and me, hospital bags, and I’ve found your videos ..... omg you saved my life, you showed me what to buy, what to not buy , how to organise the hospital bags, what to take. Now my baby girl is 2 months and You’re still helping me with your Precious advice and taking screenshots of all the things you used. Everyone in my family was surprised how I knew everything and managed to get everything for me and the baby as a first mom especially during the lockdown. Even my midwife was impressed how organised my hospital bag was. THANK YOU indeed, you literally made my whole pregnancy journey and even now as being a mom for my 2 months baby.

Would also recommend vapour bubble bath for babies when they have a cold and let the shower run so it steams up the bathroom and hold baby in there so their nose starts running

Such good tips and exactly what I needed to hear today. I’ve got a 12 week old little boy who has severe colic, every day is a battle. It feels like it’s never going to end but I know it is just a phase and he will grow out of it soon 🤞mums supporting mums is what we all need (and dads can’t leave them out 😆) xxx

My top tip I’ve learnt the hard way is to take a microwave sterilising bag in your changing bag, everywhere tends to have a sink and a microwave so when you’ve used all your bottles (greedy little baby) you can wash and sterilise them and start again

eBay is also a great source of baby grows and baby clothes in general! Got some real bargains, some brand new or barely used. More sustainable too!

The best advice I got, was to feed & nappy change on demand. The midwives told me to feed every 3 hours and made out any longer than that would be awful. I'd wake up, feed him, take an hour to settle, then he'd need a nappy change, then he'd have to be settled. It got to the point I was up with him for 2 hours, slept for 1, then repeated all night. He was ratty because he was being forced to feed when he wanted to sleep, he wasn't sleeping enough and I was then a zombie whilst already being in agony from a section. My Mum and friends said to scrap the advice from the midwives and just do it on demand... now me, partner and baby are much happier. Baby is 1 month and sleeps at night for a good 4-5 hours before waking. In fact the other night he slept from 10pm until 4.45am. He had a change half way through that night and a drowsy feed too. That works best for all of us.
