This makes me envision a world in which every single Hermit has their base within the same chunk but don’t ever notice

Imagine if Mumbo makes that in Hermitcraft, to be like "My dear friend, I give you this small hidden base in my territory for whenever you need it." and repeat that 16 time, next step is --crossing fingers for hermits to really use them-- waiting to see how much time it takes for hermits to notice that everyone has such a hidden base is this Mumbo chunck.

Read it as “How many squares can I hide in my base?” and immediately started searching for squares in the thumbnail. I then remembered it’s all squares so that’s a lot you could hide
@rubenvanderark49603 күн бұрын
Every pixel is a square, every 2x2, 3x3, 4x4... pixel region is a square, all the way up to a 256x256 pixel region (16x16 blocks, or a single chunk (which I assume is the size of the square)). Assuming the full world height counts, or 383 blocks, that's uhh... Well over 2 million. I can't find an easy formula for the exact number.
@melonclawz3 күн бұрын
OH MYGOD BAHAHA I CANT
@colten75253 күн бұрын
@@rubenvanderark4960 I believe that would be 256!^2 [or (256 x 255 x 254...) x (256 x 255 x 254...)], which is 8.578 x 10^508 SQUARED. 8 followed by 508 zeroes, TIMES 8 followed by 508 zeroes. Very large number, I like it.
@revolver2653 күн бұрын
Um ackshually, they're cubes. _[insert nerd emoji]_ To not be a pedant, the area in the thumbnail looks to be 15x15, and most Minecraft terrain is at y=60. That's about 13,500 blocks that aren't air, and a cube has 6 faces so that'll be 81,000 squares. Though you'll have to ignore the 225 of them that are on the surface, because that's not exactly hidden. The math is more complex cause the terrain changes and there's a tree, but that's a decent estimate at that scale of calculation.
@LiamCooper-on2cf11 сағат бұрын
They're pixels. We arent talking about the cubes. A square is 2d. A cube a 3d. Pixels are squares. Pixels are 2d. Pixels are not cubes. And no i wont stop putting periods. .

I feel like calibrated skulk sensors would be way better if you could lock them to a _specific_ sound. the fact that there are multiple sounds per power level is a problem. a very, very easy and intuitive solution is for them to remember the last sound they heard, then you could lock it like a repeater. could even keep the power level aspect so you could get it to only listen for certain sounds, so something like player footsteps doesn't make it super annoying to set up

Hey Mumbo! This is really impressive and entertaining. Once again, one of your video has made me thoroughly chuffed to bits. I have always wanted to make redstone contraptions but haven't known where to start. You have some good redstone tutorials, but most of them are quite dated. As a video series suggestion, I think it could be a good idea to make updated redstone tutorials. I know it would help a lot of redstone noobs like me understand how this magic red dust works.

What do you think of adding secret passageways between all the storage fronts in your hermitcraft world when you start your interior decorating, so that you can move through your base like a jungle gym of hidden passageways?
