I am going to first of all say that this was one of my all-time favourite episodes of The Muppet Show. There were very few, so I read, episodes in the first season to not have the talk-spot, so it probably would have been a good idea to have cancelled it in this one in favour of the Mummenschanz not being able to talk. However, the way it is done here far outweighs it if they didn't have it. It is extremely funny!

I actually got to see the Mummenschanz perform at a circus in the DC-Metro area once (I don't remember the name of the circus troupe, but I know it was one of those one-ring shows and not Ringling Brothers or Cirque de Soleil). Whatever the name of the circus was, the Mummenschanz were the highlight of the show for me!
