DORIAN Robinette basically it's a quote from the character Settra the Imperishable from Warhammer Fantasy. In Warhammer Fantasy there's a faction called the Tomb Kings which are basically an entire faction of Mummy Lords and the armies buried with them, Settra is leader of the entire faction and is the Oldest, Strongest, Smartest, Richest, and most Arrogant Mummy Lord. During the boom Series that ended Warhammer Fantasy Settra lost basically everything to one of his main rivals, Nagash who is the Lich that is basically responsible for the Tomb Kings entire existence, when Nagash offered Settra an opportunity to live if he served Nagash he just said "Settra does not Serve. Settra Rules."

Did that as a campaign multiple time, .. AD&D2ndE rules D&D3rdE strait, then mix Star Wars into it for technology and added Force skill powers. Just treat Vader's lightsaber as a +5 flaming bastard sword. Ran " He Man " Skeletor vs Mumbra. .

I’ve got a Mummy Lord as a BBEG in my campaign who operates out of a Step Pyramid/ Ziggurat in the city from Dwellers of the Forbidden City. It’s the last high priest of an outer god and is trying to restart the cult and summon the avatar of his god to the party’s home plane. I treat it as a divine powered Lich with home brewed spells, supernatural powers and Lair + Regional effects. The party fought and defeated it once only to realize that it was not permanently destroyed. Now they must return and put an end to its evil machinations and all around poor attitude towards the living.

I HAVE LIKED AND COMMENTED! I continue to serve the dungeoncast! no manner of undead rather they be zombie, mummy, Wight, death knight or lich! shall ever strike fear into my heart! for deep in my heart down into my soul to the very core of my being! I know that I have a faith more undying than any undead for Lord will and Lord brian! and I know that I have a deep love for all of you that will bring me warmth through any battle! but all of my faith and love cannot keep me from resting for a short time now... hey everybody welcome to the comments short rest where I'm not talking about whatever I may or may not have been talking about before. no today I'm talking about love! you see I don't want any of you to turn into mummies so I'm sending you nothing but positive energy from across the internet to replace all that negative energy you might have. so toss out those bad vibes and shut up and take these good vibes I'm given y'all now. because I love each and every last one of you! so I don't want you to get turned into bandaged shambling husks after getting your organs ripped out. that's sounds like it'd have some pretty bad vibes. that's the end of this weeks short rest! wait all week for these and I'm never disappointed. only thing wrong is that I wish they were longer so I could get even just a few minutes more of these videos lol. this weeks episodes was perfect for helping me feel better. I was thinking about making a mummy joke at the top of this comment where I'd chant will and brians names like they did for emotep (sorry if I spelt his name wrong can't remember how to spell it) in the mummy movie but I couldn't think of how to word it. also a few weeks ago in one of my comments I posted an idea for an Egyptian lich. after watching this I had one more idea for that. the liches phylactery could be a jar identical to other jars containing the liches organs. just an idea for anyone who might want to use it. anyway I'm freaking tired so I'm gonna take a real long rest and go to bed, have a good day all who read this. :)
@therismetrengaarde83155 жыл бұрын
I love the idea, about the Egyptian Lich and the possible phylactery that could be used. However, I have a question about that: Doesn't the would-be Lich's organs completely rot while they're in their death-like coma in which they begin the process of rising as a Lich? Another thing, the Lich needs to actually consume the vile poison that they created to actually begin the rotting process, so what would an Egyptian Lich do in that situation?
@DragonGunzDorian5 жыл бұрын
justin gray hmm that's a good question. I'll be honest I forget the exact things that must be done to turn into a lich and the exact order they must be done. I remember imbibing a potion was one of them but that was it. as for what to do this is already a lich meant to be reflavored in an egyptian themed style. so maybe you can throw in a little homebrew and have a different ritual this loch had to go through to become a lich, and maybe part of that process involved having his organs pulled out and preserved in jars like they do for mummies. just and idea. also glad you liked it.

Ran a campaign where everyone PC stage two titans playing as " gods," avatar of Thor. We had the stats form in the " Manual of the Planes," on the dragon goddess Tiamat guarding the gate to the second level of Baator/ Nine Hells. vs a double hd titan, combat take anywhere between 45min. to a hour to kill the dragon goddess avatar. 2ndE " Guide to Hell," had a character class level cap on devils equal to their hd. Which my first game shop never went with. And 3e had ECL: effective class level + class level gain later to development. Since we ran lower planes campaign PC fiends, we had no problem not whining about running into a fiend with 10 levels of wizard/ fightter4th in boss fights or just random encounters. We even ran a campaign where the PC were all neutral evil non mutated grandchildren of a night hag working as soul hunters. Hags don't love anything, and they treat others as pawns. But don't mess with granny's little ones. Besides a triple hd max level night hag has the hd of a titan without 9th-level spells. Been two years, how your campaign went ?
@zenniboi65503 жыл бұрын
@@krispalermo8133 It ran fairly decently I used a lot of homebrew as well as the deities and demigods handbook and the epic level handbook to run in 3.5. The main plot was that an epic level euridite druid body swapped with the the Tarrasque leading to the escape of the "Godkiller" (is actually the incarnation of justice itself) and murders of Thanatos and Zeus. This also gave just enough experience to allow the party to enter Divine Level 0. They traveled around many crystal spheres allowing them to amass power quickly (acquired an artifact that allowed time to not pass in a sphere for them unless they were in that crystal sphere.) while the gods went on lockdown and tried to amass a divine army. The PCs came back when they hit Divine Level 15 to investigate and discover the true identity of the godkiller. They simply told everyone and left the sphere. They discover a new crystal sphere being overrun by a hivemind that kept taking over every living creature. After a few adventures and failure to stop the hivemind it takes over everyone but them. Through ritual suicides it ascends to divinity itself. Blowing my mind the party allows the thing to join their pantheon under the reasoning that the magic of their pantheon forbid them from attacking each other. This led the the ending of them reseeding the world with life and ruling it. The campaign was a few dozen sessions and my players favorite of mine.

The actual pyramids were super trapped to prevent grave robbers from taking the pharoah's treasures. They were maze like, pitch black, and dangerous. Unfortunately, while they did managed to trigger traps and prevent some grave robbers, eventually some dis get through and most of the ancient treasures were pilfered and sold across the world

How can you not cover Boris Karloff's 1932 movie the Mummy? Frazier's series was over the top fantasy. I like it but I prefer the lower more reasoned style of Karloff.
