My daughters new school use Class Dojo, and it is used for communication between parents and teachers, a rewards/points system for the children, updates/photos etc. Plus they use parent pay for booking/paying for meals, breakfast/afterschool clubs, trips etc.

We use tapestry for yrR and Google classroom for yr1+ I disagree with the quick goodbye and leave...with my first she always ran in happy at preschool and school but middle starts yrR in September and if you rush her and don't slowly explain and give the time she needs it makes it worse. Most of this information is given prior/on home visit/during first weeks. Labels labels labels are definitely so true. Our school has a website and sends out newsletters each week to inform about different things like non uniform day, menu changes to lunches, school trips, after school clubs(yr1+ in ours) They grow and change so much at school, it's a privilege to be a part of 😊

I love videos like this. The whole bureaucratic administrative side of school for minors is so different between the US and the various parts of the UK. I'm so glad for you and your kids that they don't have to go to a school with metal detectors and armed security like a number of American children and teenagers do now. :)

My kids school use an app called (my child at school) for letters home and communication between school and parents it's the same for both of my kids ones in high school and ones in juniors. then they have different apps for homework for them to access xx

My eldest is starting senior school in sept 😢he has autism and is going to a mainstream senior school..I’m not sure if his senior school is open to us looking around during the summer hols but I think it would help him..I really wish they would clarify things like that because I’m so worried that it’s going to be a shock for him when he starts.

My youngest will be starting so I will have two boys in school 😳 can we talk socks 🤣🤣… any tips on how to easily recognise who’s are who’s, quickly?? I’ll be drowning in black socks doing laundry and I’m always looking for hacks to make it easier! Random question sorry😂😂

I get all black socks, but with subtle colours or patterns on them. One of my son's socks has tiny monsters on them and the others has coloured heels and toes
