Filipino Style BBQ for $1 in the Heart of LA | Street Food Icons

Dollar Hits is a Filipino street food staple in Los Angeles, specializing in meat skewers that cost $1. Customers can cook pork barbecue and chicken barbecue, along with pork ears, chicken feet, and more on charcoal grills outside the restaurant, located in a nondescript mini-mall in downtown LA's Historic Filipinotown. The three sisters who run Dollar Hits immigrated from Pampanga in the Philippines and have since become local street food legends. Other offerings at Dollar Hits include chicken liver, heart, and intestines, fish and lobster balls, and balut, a fertilized duck egg.

Just ate from there a few days ago. Man it was a truly amazing and very delicious experience. I only spent $15 for me and my 2 kids. Trust me u definitely want to eat from here. They also have specialty dishes on certain days for like $5 and believe they give u more than your money's worth. I can't wait to go again next year. Thats 1 thing I like about social media because of videos like this that teach u about knew foods. Not that the restaurants I grew up eating at are bad but variety is the spice of life. I grew up eating only Mexican food & Americanized Chinese & Italian food. But thru social media & meeting people from different cultures I discovered so much good food.
