It's California. When I was in college my parents moved to SoCal. I remember coming home for christmas from the midwest and I was in shorts and everyone there was in parkas (it was in the 50s and 60s). California has almost no seasonality to the weather so people there are hyper sensitive to very small variations in temps.

You guys have great characters as your chosen hosts, but I think Anthony deserves a shot as doing more munchies videos! He's a solid host. Maybe not from a perspective of a chef, but it's nice to have a perspective from a blogger I Think because he represents the audience more. Definitely more relatable imo.

I love oysters and they look delicious. I use to go every Saturday afternoon with friends some years back to eat at least two dozen and have 5-6 beers at this place Snockey's in South Philadelphia. Used to work at a steak and lobster restaraunt before covid shut everything down. Every Tuesday and Thursday we got our seafood shipments (lobster, salmon, Lincod, sablefish) and the oysters. The general public new when we got out shipments for the week so Tuesday and Thursday were always our busy days. I worked night shift so usually from 5pm-close(12:30). I did everything around the kitchen from dish to steaks to salads. The BAIN of my existence was the oyster bar on salads. First day working it I tried my first oyster and still have ptsd about the feeling of a cold chunky snotrocket stuck in my throat, but thats besides the point. On the busy days we would not shuck under 800 oysters, theres no worse feeling than having a bill for 60, and then dozens upon dozens upon dozens of them com in on top of it. This video was a hard throwback for me. Ps, if you're gonna fuck with oysters, cook em! (Oyster Rockefeller is actually amazing)
