balls bag Are you dumb? Yes, ingredients mixed within the cultures but tacos are 100% Mexican. With the simple fact that many of the ingredients that make up a taco didn’t even exist in the old world(Africa,Europe, and Asia) proves it. Corn, tomatoes, avocados, chile peppers all native to the Americas and weren’t found in the Middle East or Europe. Spaniards introduced native American peppers to south Asia in the 1500s. South Asia has black pepper but it’s different to the ones in the Americas. Native Americans(Mexicans) have been making tacos for thousands of years before any european or middle easterner even thought of getting on a boat across the Atlantic.
@fmlAllthetime5 жыл бұрын
Tacos in their modern form are a mixed food heritage. Pigs, cows, chickens and cheese were introduced by Europeans, spices from other cultures (cilantro, cumin etc.), but the tomato, avocado and corn tortillas were native. Modern Mexican cuisine is an internationally sinpired cuisine much as is modern Thai (chili peppers etc.) and many others. Ain't no shame in that.
@jeremyjdl7135 жыл бұрын
fmlAllthetime You are correct the Americas didn’t have beast of burden back then. But tacos were made for thousands of years before the Spaniards arrived with meats that weren’t from animals from the old world. I agree that modern tacos are a mix of cultures. Another example is Italian food. Spaghetti and pizza would be very different without tomatoes from the Americas.

Exactly thnx to KZbin I've discovered taco spots I never would've without it. Most ppl are aware of places like king taco & taco gavilan which are ok but nothing beats a street taco or mom & pop shop. I haven't been to all the taco spots like ave 26,Leo's taco truck or tire shop those 3 I wanna try well now 4 with momos but the 1's I have that were on my bucket list were los poblanos which I highly recommend especially the asada & the chorizo. Also tacos 1986 they were a bit pricey but I think they were good at least good enough to try once. Will I go back cant say really but not in a hurry to.

This is exactly how my grandpa raised my dad and how my dad raised me. Always make more than enough food and anyone is welcomed. I learned early that it’s not a common trait among people to always offer more than necessary even if you can hardly afford. I grew up around many people where you had to watch how much you ate so that there was enough food for everyone and I wasn’t raised with money at all but my dad was always the opposite of that because his dad taught him to be like that. I learned it was rude to offer food if you couldn’t offer it to everyone and have enough for everyone. Next time I’m in SoCal, I will definitely stop by this place.
