Only Hannibal fans will truly appreciate the irony fans behind the 'theses days people are watching Dexter' line. One of the big reasons they cancelled the hit TV Show 'Dexter' in 2013 is because all the ratings were focused on the new show, 'Hannibal', which was ironically focused on the origin story of one Hannibal Lecter.

I wonder about something. Jack did not attack Hannibal at first. So I wonder why. So my theory is that at the time, they that could have been the culture in England? I would not know but just throwing that idea out there. That would explain both why Jack did not say anything about Hannibal but rather raise himself up. When Hannibal showed poor behavior in Jack's eyes he got annoyed and more aggressive. This would not really make his lines any stronger, but it would fit the pieces together well. I would say Jack's line that Hannibal is not real a massive hit tho. And while the lines in the first verse was not directly attacking, he was basically trying to play himself up as the better serial killer. Pointing it out in his 2nd verse. I never even got caught. I also wonder if it is a bit unfair to hold him not attacking Hannibal against him too much, when clearly it was done purposefully to set Jack up.

Talking how gruesome and real his crimes were compared to Hannibal. When you really dissect hannibal's verses, it really comes down to calling out Jack craving attention. Jack was hitting harder to me, targeting how real he was and that he never got caught.

They never could say yes 100% it was him.. but there was a detective(in like 09 maybe 2010 or 2011) he investigated England and came to the conclusion that maybe Jack never got caught because... he wasnt in England anymore maybe ye left. He found out that back them boats and stuff were going from England to NY. So he went to NY and ended up searching and found 3 or 4 more cases of Ripper style killings and they actually ended up catching him in NY. The guy got caught with a knife that matched at least 3 of the murder weapons in England, and after he was caught there were never any other Ripper style killings.

An for Hannibal lecter. yes hes not technically a real person. but hes based on a real person who was locked away for eating people. he just happen to get the nickname. at one point they didnt know how bad he was. an they put him in a regular cell. an one of the guards went a gave him his meal tray. he bent the guards arm around the cell door an started to chew his fingers off. apparently he did this to several nurses too. eventually he would get the nickname Hannibal lecter

I don't know....Jack the Ripper's crimes makes OJ Simpson's crime look like a Penny Dreadful episode if we're being real. Nice bar, but Jack is on another level when it comes to crime sprees compared to OJ....AND he never got caught. So, hard one to judge....both had bars and Jack's second verse was hard and crushed Lecter's existence. He won that with "I'M REAL; You'll find me making vacancies in brothels, while you only exist inside the pages of a novel; You were locked for ages in a hovel". His first was hard too except he should have attacked Lecter more. It was close, but with closer examination, Jack had the harder hits IMO. Lecter had more wordplay but talking about Ray Liotta and eating his brains is not really a diss since Jack didn't CHASE headlines, he MADE headlines with his crimes. Roasting balls on a hibachi, talking about Jack smelling like piss and being like tasteless Kashi, dining on people while listening to violins.....I dunno...nice rhymes but they are not haymakers to me.

Hey, just my 2 cents on this battle. 1) I don't consider Hannibal's comment of "You didn't mention me once in your entire battle rap" as any kind of fire line. Jack the Ripper's first round was basically laying out his resume to someone that doesn't actually exist, and not worthy of mention. 2) Hannibal's comment on Jack's nickname not something he created for himself is also a non-issue. When those that you terrorize and traumatize give you a name, the effect punches harder and causes more fear, in my opinion. 3) Lastly, just to keep it relatively brief, Jack's line of "I'm Real; you exist in a book" ended it. Jack's like i did this shit for real, your ass is made up.
@NCA_Azzy4 жыл бұрын
1. It's a "battle rap". That's literally the purpose of one. Smack talk your opponent. 2. "Hannibal" is equally a nickname. 3a. Calling someone "fake" is equivalent to calling another rapper "old". 3b. Hannibal is made up, but he is based on a *real* person.
@AC-gb7do4 жыл бұрын
Sure, Lecter may be based on a real person but Jack’s crimes have been discussed and dissected since 1888. When the 25th anniversary edition of The Silence of the Lambs was released, Harris updated the introduction to the book, finally revealing that Hannibal Lecter was based on an actual doctor in Mexico, a surgeon by the name of Alfredo Ballí Treviño, who was convicted of murdering then chopping up his gay lover in 1959. (He was inspired by other RL serial killers as well, Ed Gein and Albert Fish come to mind.) The JtR nickname line, no big deal as media has done that for decades. The Zodiac killer, BTK, Son of Sam, the Night Stalker, and the Boston Strangler to name a few. Hannibal *wasn’t* a nickname. Hannibal Lecter VIII (born January 20, 1933) is a Lithuanian-American serial killer, notorious for consuming his victims, earning him the nickname "Hannibal the Cannibal” according to the fandom wiki entry.

@@AC-gb7do "The Chesapeake Ripper" is who Graham was investigating for a string of murders. Once he started piecing together Lecter was the killer he almost died and went into retirement.
