Thanks for the response all! I was struggling to put this video together as it was filmed over more than a month. It took over 25 hours of editing (as I'm crap at it) & I nearly canned the whole episode as it felt too similar to previous episodes. I have one more like this to deal with, then it'll hopefully be some new exciting footage at the bodyshop which I'll hopefully be able to edit a little easier!

Yeah, Centrelocks are mostly just for looks on a road car. Not fun torqueing the 700Nm nuts with a 2metre spanner if You want to change tires on a track day. Just stupid accessories like carbon brake rotors.

The track in the picture with the angled wing seems to be Paul Ricard in the south of France. It is a pretty quick track in its classic configuration. Btw, I am amazed by the amount and quality of work you guys do to the car. Good times!

I guess you have different types of metal options there. Typically in the US aluminum is 6061 or 7075. Steel has a bunch of options.

Looking at the angle of that rear wing and the gurney you’re going to produce some decent rear end downforce on track, but coupled with the lack of drive now at the front wheels that should work well you’d imagine. Time will tell I guess!

Yeah the gurney probably won't be required, but we'll have to see what it does & if it gets anywhere near it's old top speed (incredibly unlikely)

Make new bump stops so you can have a short shock mount? I love it but suspect you should have just gone for a billet hub carrier from the get go.

It's a three way shock so it can't be dissembled without re-gassing unfortunately. We did consider a bolt on stroke reducer.

I’m not a fan of the flat wing, murcielago’s are such curvaceous cars that a straight wing just looks out of place. But I respect the build and the details brother, it’s coming along so well 🤙🏻

It would have been very expensive & would have meant running high offset centrelock wheels which I didn't want to do. For what I want (not racing), this setup is actually better than the R-GT suspension.

Is the abs sensor on a lambo hall effct or inductive type? Because this looks far more complex than just slapping the new ring in and relocating the sensor 😂

It's a hall sensor I believe. It's been bench tested, so hopefully will be okay.

No, it had carbon doors & tiny hinges as it's crash structure is in the roll cage.

Hey driftworks how about instead of destroying the history of those gt parts, stripping paint off etc why don't you get them wrapped or you could get the parts maybe done in a clear coat with a tint so the racing livery is just about seen underneath

The LeMan livery is long gone anyway, this is random stuff from various events the car did afterwards & the panels are battered & in need of repair anyway, so I'll be painting it as originally planned.
