They left so many stones unturned. For starters, they should have followed up with the family members who visited Mutunga while he was in the hospital and determined where they were at the time of the murder. The metal bracket likely had fingerprints as well, why was this never followed up on? As for the staff on duty, were there any suspicious deposits in their bank accounts or Mpesa?

Being sick makes you very vulnerable, and being sick in Africa makes you much more vulnerable. However, being sick and under the care of a hospital in Africa is a very dangerous circumstance to be in, and only God can be relied on for successful treatment, care, and discharge. If you are harmed while receiving treatment or on admission in a hospital, there is usually no accountability; the problem is the patient's and their family's; the only benefit, if any, is pity the affected receive, if the situation becomes public. Money and a position of power, in my opinion, have a greater impact on freedom and living conditions in Africa than anywhere else.

Ppl r killed all over the world not just kenya It's in the bible man to man we r enemies of our own . On African someone goes hospital or they ain't even that sick and soon they are dead , accidents on the roads non stop n they r never investigated .. Most of those deaths on road or hospital are not even normal deaths but it's made to look like it's an accident n them police can't be asked , hence so many of them be happening . I was poisoned at KNH in 2012. I was critically sick. A woman figure dressed in nurse uniform came to my bed with a blue ck cup and hand it to me. I asked her what it was but instead she walked out hurriedly. It was slightly warm so I sipped but as I swallowed it 8 felt like acid burning inside me. I spat the remains and carefully kept the cup down. It was around 2-3am after that I slept until 6am and remembering the incident I turned to look for the cup but it wasn't there even the one i spat. From that day I vomited continuously even when 8 drink water for 2weeks but God healed and took me out safe. From that incident I fear hospitals.

Two key points: First, staff members who provided direct care to the victim may have been involved in his death. A caregiver with direct access administered medication and was likely the last person to see him alive shortly before his death. The nature of his death-he did not fight back or scream-suggests he may have been sedated. Additionally, blood test results that could have confirmed whether and when he was sedated have not been disclosed. This raises concerns about whether the lack of transparency is an attempt to protect the involved staff. Second, we must learn from this tragic incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Implementing surveillance cameras in corridors outside patient rooms would enhance safety by monitoring who enters and exits. Condolences to the family! Justice must be served. It has not been done. Sadly.

I had just confronted a nurse asking why she wasn't been given piped food coz she was always on sedation for three days , the nurse grew wild and rudely dismissed me, but I kept insisting then if they are not deeding her then they should stop the medication also. She was sleeping peacefully when I left only to be called the next day and they said she had died , her husband had already gone to the hospital and had collected all her belongings and was already at home , my sister was lying lifeless in the room where they hold dead bodies , all these allegedly happened at around 4.00 to 6.00 and that was the time her husband was there. I got to the hospital at around 10.00 am and my sisters mouth was full of blood , her dread locks were bloody , and its like she died struggling... Sth is not right.

I arrived the next day and the Dr told me that if she could continue with medication after the first stroke, she couldn't have died and when I asked him which medication were they giving her ,the answer was nothing...I was given a bill of 150k only because my sister was sleeping in KNH without treatment.

Very heartbreaking, most probably it was due to family feud. probably the perpetrator had premeditated the murder for days by doing preliminary visits to the hospital, scouted all possible escape routes, sources of murder weapons, hospital timeline and established when the patient was being visited by the family members, movement of the hospital staff and probably obtained drugs from outside the hospital and finally moved into action. In a shocking scenario, it can even be a visitor who once visited him from family side who did the intelligence collection.

This case raises serious concerns: either the DCI lacks the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively, or they are more focused on abducting Gen Zs instead of conducting thorough investigations. A logical first step would have been to interview the key witness to identify the last staff member or nurse who administered medication to Cosmas Mutunga, as this could shed light on who might have sedated him. Furthermore, the investigators should have lined up the relatives and neighbors for the witness to identify anyone present during the incident. If this is not feasible, they could provide the witness with photographs of the individuals so they can identify the person involved. With a land dispute being a strong motive, it is highly likely that one of these individuals-a relative or so-called neighbor-was directly involved in Mutunga's death.😭😭😭😢

If a patient can be so brutally murdered in a private ward in the biggest referall hospital in East and central Africa, with so much evidence and yet no conviction is obtained, is so baffling. 1. The murder weapon was a hospital inventory. 2.The doors of the ward were closed at midnight. 3.The nurse who went to check on the patient at 4am, found him in distress but alive. 4.Why did the nusrse do something about the patient's distress immediately. 5.Was the nusrses station on the same floor as the patients room? 6. If so, is the access to the ward visible from the nurse's station? 7. If so, most likely, either, the hospitals staff were involved, or they were paid off to look the other way by the unknown perpetrator. 8. If not, how did the perpetrators or perpetrator gain access to the ward?

This has inside job written all over it, the man was dying of cancer I don’t think the family was that desperate not to wait unfortunately. He probably angered one of the staff members and they did this to him. And of course at the end they protected their own staff. You have to really know the insides and out of the hospital to have pulled this. Knowledge of where to get the murder weapon etc.., they probably had on civilian clothes then changed back to work uniforms and of course he was sedated. And I believe it was planned beforehand. Only 2 witnesses here unfortunately one deceased and the other can’t speak and they were very aware of that to have carried a gruesome crime in front of him smh!

I remember watching this on Citizen TV 7 p.m. news one night in July 2014 at my uncle's place in Murang'a county. I felt depressed and a bit traumatized. (I am the one who requested for this episode thru e-mail).

We ate in this court above all courts under the sun. Let's start moving from where we reached with justice Lesit and we will succeed.. The worst we would do is to live the past.. Am eager to meet men at work. Am after writing down what is in their minds. Nothing else.

Why was the blood testing for sedative still sent in the same hospital he had died in? And all the investigations were internal and not independent and you expect any proper results! Maajabu hayo!
