Never gonna happen. That would require amending the Constitution and ratifying the amendment and too many contrarians and partisans exist now to ever get anywhere near to accomplishing that. Plus Congress will never vote to limit their own terms or the terms of SC Justices. So unless by some magic we ever get 67+ Dems in the Senate (the 2/3s required) and THEN a 2/3 majority in the House, and THEN get 37 States to ratify term limits (which means at least half of the Red ones) you should just accept that there will never be a change in the terms of Congress or the SC as currently set forth in the Constitution. Its depressing, but the reality we face.
