It's a different kind of anarchism, they set out to destroy two completely separate heirarchies. Individualist anarchism was invented in america and no one did more to develop it than Rothbard.

@@lugus9261 the modern understanding of "Libertarianism" began with American Individualist-Anarchist Benjamin Tucker, and Rothbard developed the Individualist-Anarchist strain of Anarchist thought into Anarcho-Capitalism and Contemporary Libertarianism. While Anarcho-Capitalism is ideologically related to European Collectivist-Anarchism, it is not a direct descendent. They are more comparably cousin ideologies, although Noam Chomsky would prefer to call them very distant cousins.
