So I may be overthinking it but when I was younger I had this idea and I still think it to this day to be honest that if Bunny was made “correctly” like Blossom Bubbles and Buttercup she would’ve been the most powerful Powerpuff Girl because think about it we all know it takes sugar spice and everything nice to make the perfect little girl so hear me out. Bubbles is the sugar component Buttercup is the spice component Blossom is the everything nice component that’s even more blatantly clear when you see their colors corresponding with the ingredients in the intro to the show blue for sugar green for spice pink for everything nice. Let’s not forget it’s the recipe to create the perfect little girl not “little girls” 1 girl not 3 you following me? So this lead me to believe that Bunny if she was made correctly would’ve been the combination of all the ingredients, sugar, spice and everything nice she would of had all the Powerpuff Girls powers even their special powers she would be the most powerful and the true PERFECT LITTLE GIRL💜🐰 So with that all being said thank you for coming to my TEDTalk and like I said I could be overthinking this but I thought this ever since I was a kid 🩵💚🩷💜

Yeah, and the "accident" part could have not been an accident. The girls were made because Professor Utonium was pushed into the Chemical X, causing all of it to pour into his concoction for the "perfect little girl". The show also did a What If with the PPGs where the Professor followed the instructions, but didn't include the Chemical X, the result were just three average, five-year-old girls doing kid things. The Chemical X is what gave the girls their powers, so if anyone is going to make he perfect PPG, they would need to be really careful and accurately measure the Chemical X. That in itself is vague as all heck. What even is the "perfect" measurement for Chemical X when creating the PPG?

Also, Bunny's origin story mirrors the Girls. They too destroyed Townsville with their superpowers running unchecked in a game of tag, then manipulated into helping the bad guys by Mojo Jojo who found them at their most vulnerable, then flew off to space once the Professor was disappointed in them. So in essence, they saw themselves make the exact same mistakes, only Bunny didn't survive saving Townsville. I still cried at Bunny's very explicitly canonical death watching just your video essay. I also think it's interesting how Bunny is purple and is unstable with her powers, and it's similar to Bliss. I think these choices clearly influenced Bliss in the reboot, as her color is purple, a callback to Bunny, but also a key point in Bliss's character is that she went away because her powers were too unstable and she couldn't control them. Bliss's uncontrolled powers also result in catastrophic explosions, just like how Bunny dies. Except Bliss doesn't die after she unleashes her power. The Professor was kind of the irresponsible parent here. The girls were at fault for making Bunny unstable, but there was way too much responsibility placed on three five years old girls. The girls didn't know how to make an accurate PPG, they just did like any little kid without any proper guidance does when making food. At least, I can give the girls credit for making a partner out of love instead of mass producing them for profit. Oh, and Dick is also worst because he tried to kill the girls by taking their Chemical X from them, so he could mass produce more PPG knock-offs. I don't even know why he had to melt down a perfect clone of the PPGs, well I do. He is a cheap bastard just looking to mass produce more PPG knock-offs who will just fall apart to keep the money coming in. Seeing his death and the knock-offs' deaths was pretty horrific.

That intro reminds me of that one SpongeBob episode where Gary left him and he became depressed. It really resonated with baby me so much that I cried. I still have the lyrics from that song written in a notebook. Funnily enough, I’ve never had a pet so I’ve no clue what about the song resonated so much.

All because SpongeBob wanted to win some ridiculous contest. Unfortunately for Gary, his new owner planned to fatten him up like a pig. Either because she wanted to eat him or she just has a bad habit of overfeeding her pets. Pick your poison.

Sometimes one of the characters from My Life as a teenage robot is Melody Locus! And the last time I saw her she had to go away because she didn't feel like she belonged anywhere so she was crying and flying away never to be seen anymore! But I heard that she's very shy but sometimes I wish that she would come back and Jenny would try to apologize to her and both of them would forgive each other! That's one of my wishes I would like from Rob Renzetti! There are lots of reasons why I like Melody and one of them is that it's my older sister's name except My Melody has an ie at the end of her name! I just feel sorry for Melody that she couldn't come back to Brad or Jenny or anybody else that she doesn't know yet because she is shy! How I wish that Jenny and Melody would just make amends to each other and become friends! I don't care if it's not going to happen I only wish it would!😢
@kidprime686311 ай бұрын
Yeah, you're right. It would've been nice if Melody and Jenny made amends. The two of them could've became great friends and possibly even partners. She could've been helpful against the Cluster. Just had an idea: Have an episode were Melody joins the Cluster in order to truly belong while Brad and Jenny try to reason with her that the Cluster are evil as they try to make amends with her. Such a wasted opportunity.
@ColleenFoley-ln9lr11 ай бұрын
@@kidprime6863 the cluster has redeem themselves before Melody had to fly away! Perhaps Melody would make friends with Vega too! Misty may not be a robot but maybe just maybe if she realizes that money isn't everything she would be friends with Jenny and the rest of the gang again! What if Misty would just use the money to buy souvenirs for her friends!? And what if there might be a space fairy who would be the new addition to the group!? I think we'll call her LunaBelle she would be like Tinkerbell only she's not really that small and she would have long black hair like Silvermist and she would wear something indigo!

6:15, I just wanted to point out that this isn't scary. This Sister resembles Superman's Bizarro. Almost everyone judged Him as a "Big Scary Monster" without giving Him a chance. I admit, there's a little bit of a "Frightening" aspect to Her. However, the Fear stems from what Society decided what's Cute, Scary, Good, Bad, Nice, Mean,. Words in the Dictionary that Help us understand what things mean. They're also pretty suggestive, if I'm being honest.

I loved Bunny so much as a kid, this was the one episode of The Powerpuff Girls that left me in tears, watching that explosion in silence, and the last shred of her uniform drifting down in front of the girls. It was so tragic... I also was bullied for being autistic and came off as different to other girls, messy hair, tomboyish, loner, preferred walking in circles alone or just drawing, don't care for smalltalk and struggle with unspoken rules and social cues, so Bunny being obviously "different" made me attached to her. One of the first fanfics I ever wrote was about her. Her episode made me cry again revisiting it as an adult.

I remember re-watching this episode years later on a streaming site. Right after the ending, we cut to the 2nd (more lighthearted) episode that plays alongside it, and I kinda felt miffed, like we didn't get enough time to process what just happened. (My sister and I saw it when it first aired, and got a little choked up and talked about it during the commercial break) It honestly felt too short, like we only knew Bunny for 5 minutes and then... boom, gone. I kinda wish it were a full half-hour special so we could see how Bunny interacts with her sisters, how the Professor reacts, and see how the girls deal with their grief after they lose her. The last time I ever see Bunny mentioned was in an old Bleedman comic (not canon, I know, but bear with me), where Blossom confides in another character who was grieving over losing a sister, and Blossom pulled out the small piece of fabric that remained of Bunny. I'm rambling now, sorry, but this episode just hit me in the feels.

In their defense, they were exhausted from constantly saving the day. They just wanted a break. That's why they did this in such a haste. Hey, at least they're not forcing the citizens to fight a giant monster on their own to teach them a lesson to do things for themselves and not take them for granted again. Man, that's a terrible idea.

6:55 I’m pretty sure Bunnie was intended to be a Bizzaro Powerpuff girl. Mutated counterpart who thinks reverse logic. Good is bad, bad is good.
@hideshisface188611 ай бұрын
I would argue that PPG was not that cheerful of the show, if I'm being honest. For every goofy and fun episode, you had some of the more traumatic and dark episodes in children's television. Remember the one when Him possesed Bubbles' Octi doll? Yeah... Or the one when Bubbles goes hardcore? Or you know... The Speed Demon. Bunny's episode is indeed among the most tragic episodes of the series, but on multiple levels. You mention the professor being terribly neglectful in this episode, but this is the important part of the narrative here: The girls do all the work saving the town, and when they come home, there is more of the same, more work, always. It is kind of a repeat of the other episode, when town learned to rely on girl to do absolutely anything, no matter how menial. So... girls find the solution in creating Bunny, in creating life. And they show themselves to be as neglectful as Professor was. It is a starting point of a cycle of neglect. More over - Bunny was conceived in a neglectful manner - she was made with purpose, but without care, in a rush of enthusiasm, nothing else. Because of this, she came up... off. And girls instead of trying to correct her, guide her, just let her lose with little instruction on what to do - even though they clearly knew there is something wrong with her. And then, to add insult to injury, Bunny was discarded because she made a mistake due to no fault of her own. This goes beyond just a tragedy of lovable character dying. It is a lovable character created without love, receiving no love, discarded without love, and yet dying while giving all her unconditional love back.
