I love when character in media are either born with or unlocktheir power through their bloodline and or ancestry or the world has rpg stat/job systems

I think the spell slots and divine smites could be used throughout the build to enchant one's weapons for instance: increasing range of a weapon for x number of attacks (like adding a chain to the weapon) or guaranteeing concentration is broken or a buff is removed(like inverted spear of heaven). Additionally I think there should be some kind of defensive bonus for not using any spell slots in a day and an offensive/ movement bonus for having no spell slots left (Perhaps an aura or a mage breaker adjacent perk)

I think it would make more sense to instead of not using slots, make it giving up slots at the start of the day, counting them as "spent" rather than a reserved resource it's used up already

@Trefox87 actually I like that more. I think with your idea one could sacrifice all of their highest level spell slots for the buff so a player could still have the option of using smites in a pinch?

the feature about items, at least the 5 item part and ignoring things like Race and other things. This seems to steal some of the identity of the Artifice who has the exact skill at lvl14.

I have thought about it, but I am still trying to think about how I would balance the size aspect, since if you shrink it down to be person sized, then it'd just the armoror artificer. I do want to though, love gundam stuff.

​@@gamemastersdomain Could be a large creature type deal, drawing from the rune knight giant might ability or using aspects of the iron golem, rangers drakewarden drake progression starting as a medium creature that can be a mount that later becomes large (as well as its hut point progression by level) and beastmaster's different types of primal companions for different types of mechs that are for melee, range, and defense, and maybe using some of druids wildshape rules of you entering your companion not causing you to lose equipment or held items, maybe even having them merge into the mech as a part of its own weapons to give it the weapons magical properties, but taking an action to enter or exit and having a limited duration per day or something so the player isn't always in the mech, like it overheats if used to long as a mode of transport and has to shrink down to Keychain size when it's used up

​@@gamemastersdomain carry around your mech as a backpack, have it be a bonus action to activate it and grow big, make it have its own stat block and give it the inanimate feature so it cant act unless someone is piloting it

I think it’d be better if instead of getting rid of your spellcasting, you get the special benefits for not using them. This way you can decide “do i want to use magic or do i want my special benefits” and it fits better into the idea of someone who has magic but doesnt want to use it, since you still have it. It probably doesnt match the archetype specific to jjk, but i think it’ll probably be fine
