Marco Schaub too true! The politics in BB is the worst than in any other sport. That’s a disgrace. Kevin was my favorite, plus I’m from Maryland. But Shawn & Flex were two of the most symmetrical BB of all time.

Great video & three greats of the sport . Couldn't agree more with Shawn when he states there should be at least one sandow between them. Frankly each one should have a sandow. I understand many fans of Bodybuilding dislike Shawns character but frankly I think he's great for the sport as an interviewer. We don't want all our 'experts' to be the same. Keeping it safe and staying as far away from controversy as possible.

My favourite era of bodybuilding!! I was a huge fan of all 3 but especially Shawn Ray! Unfortunately Shawn as a human being isn’t so great but his physique was so inspiring to me!

Same. I think he's still unbeaten as the GOAT. And I have no difficulty separating the physique from the personality. Bodybuilding is about the body and he reached levels of perfection really hard to beat. The only one who is not too far behind is Wheeler. But Wheeler didn't have those insanely tight and veiny biceps Shawn had. He didn't have the granite chiseled abs Shawn had. He didn't have the neck as wide as his head Shawn had. But even without all that he still was out of this world.

At 29:30 Flex started talking about his calves and the discussion got cut at 29:53. 🤔 Everyone knew he was enhancing them, but he never got penalized. He was always IFBB favorite son until his Weider contract was up in '98 and Ronnie was crowned Mr. Olympia. I've always hated bodybuilding politics.

Should have at least 10 Sandows between the three of them. Unfortunately (and rather shockingly), they have zero Sandows between the 3 of them, as they competed at the worst possible time (i.e., when the sport’s 3 Olympia GOATs ran off a string of 22 consecutive Sandows from 1984 - 2005). you'd probably learn those things in recent podcasts but I haven't listened to all of them and some personal life details they keep to themselves. I'm pretty sure they are still involved in things like gyms, personal training, coaching, appearances, etc. and they probably have passive income from investing the money they made during their BB career.

Pro bodybuilding is not that serious Kevins ritual stuff it’s just complete silliness these guys got issues before bodybuilding bodybuilding just makes it worse. You could do none of the stuff Kevin did and still be the champion. Hey at the end of the day you’re lifting weights putting yourself through willful mental torment or physical torment it’s just stupidity. I am been lifting a high-level for almost 15 years and never tortured myself to the point where it was unpleasant I’ve enjoyed every single minute of the 15 years I’ve been training.
