It's safe to say that they are the best. Even their isolated instrumentals like drums only, guitar only, base only, background only, voice only... Every bit sounds perfect. I hope they will be remembered in a few hundret years like we remember mozart, bach, beatles and elvis. They deserve it.

Yeah, I think too many people who have a negative view on Muse's work after Black Holes, are just expecting hard rock way too often. When really, I think Resistance is one of the most definitive Muse songs. It has a pop sound kind of like Starlight and Madness, the synth in the background with the drums sounds very symphonic. The pre-chorus has a really catchy bassline, there is a tiny bit of hard rock 4:39 The song is constantly building up, and I can't think of one Muse song without any buildup. It has a bit of everything to be expected from Muse.
