Was not at this festival but a little over a decade later I did see them perform at Leeds Festival which is a part of this festival. Performing the same song and it was amazing. By the way it's pronounced Reding festival. My favourite performance is probably that of Falling down in the early 2000s.

Can I suggest one thing, when you pause it’s quite often when a big riff or chorus is about to start (I know you need to pause, that’s cool) but maybe just do the 10 second skip back so you can enjoy the awesome transitions Muse produce 🤘🏻

Check out their live performance of Uno at the London Astoria in 2000. The song is also on the Showbiz album. I get a vibe from the videos of this concert it was a sort of "coming out" to the greater music/entertainment press. A sort of launching point into more widespread exposure.

The best performances from muse are their older setlists, they just have more energy and intensity, before they became the stadium rock band, some of their all time best are stockholm syndrome live at pinkpop 2004 andcitizen erased hullabaloo if you want one of their best from a stadium try blackout at wembley, also I was at leeds fest for this gig you reacted to

Tough question. My favorite performance would have to be Glastonbury 2004 (where your Hysteria reaction video also takes place) . You could take any song, really, but Butterflies and Hurricanes is truly special!

My absolute favorite performance by Muse has to be their performance of their song Fury at Royal Albert Hall: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnWwdn2gepato6s It's just perfection on so many levels. Also happens to be one of my favorite songs from Muse, a song that coincidentally didn't even make a record. Matt got outvoted by Dom and Chris on their Absolution record about the placement of Fury and The Small Print. Chris and Dom wanted The Small Print, Matt wanted Fury. So The Small Print ended up on the album and Fury became a b-side. I think Fury is a much better song, and it gets requested by fans all the time--kinda proving that Matt was correct.
