Museum of the American Revolution Philadelphia FULL TOUR. In this video we’re touring the NEW Museum of the American Revolution located in Philadelphia, PA. This museum JUST opened up in 2019, but was put on hold to the public since the pandemic started. Thankfully it just re-opened for tours in August 2020 and we were lucky enough to see the tour. The Museum of the American Revolution (formerly The American Revolution Center) is a museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, dedicated to telling the story of the American Revolution. The museum was opened to the public on April 19, 2017, the 242nd anniversary of the first battles of the war, at Lexington and Concord, on April 19, 1775. The museum owns a collection of several thousand objects including artwork and sculpture, textiles and weapons, manuscripts and rare books. Permanent and special exhibition galleries, theaters and large-scale tableaux portray the individuals and events and engage people in the history and continuing relevance of the American Revolution.
General John P. Jumper serves as the chairman of the Board of the Directors. Dr. R. Scott Stephenson was named president and CEO in November 2018. Philadelphia area media entrepreneur and philanthropist H. F. "Gerry" Lenfest served as chairman of the board of directors from 2005 until 2016 and was instrumental in leading the Museum to its opening in 2017.

One of my Opa’s was a Hessian in this war. And my first cousin 7th generation was a British spy. Later became a member of Canadian parliament. But he was a wanted man in the US. He was a criminal of this war for being on the side of the British lol

@@TravelswithNick I think online some historian found a write up of his actual description in the wanted poster. Lol. That he was handsome of medium height and athletic build with dark hair and a swarthy complexion lol. Because back then they didn’t have the invention of photography quite yet.
