Pay for the programs that the economy needs, and let the students who are doing other programs pay for themselves. When other students see that students who do programs that the economy wants most geting jobs, they may gravitate to enrolling for the economy programs.

Museveni always gives good advice but these people in administration do not implement. I remember how he funded the electric bus project and officials in ministry of education diverted the funds to other faculties.

Development studies have no problem. Which of Museveni's children did sciences? They are tailors, priests, soldiers. Mr. Museveni, stop demeaning courses. All courses are useful. Your govt cant pay nurses ,so why are you lamenting about disciplines when you cant pay those that do them. Africa is full of conflicts and Mr. Museveni is on record for causing and influencing conflicts in Uganda and beyond - including Gulu where u are talking from. That region needs conflict resolution more than biology or chemistry today. Their hearts are still bleeding from the Kony war. Todate, people kill each other because so and so's father killed the other neighbors family during Kony's insurgency. So Mr. Museveni addressed the wrong audience that day. Too bad! He is the President without any child or grand child doing or done sciences. Because his family feeds off the people of Uganda in the arts sector. The hospitals without drugs, bring nothing
