I hope that you enjoyed this video. Let me know below what type of music player you use when swimming?

So I use workouts on the watch. I open swim and go at it. Does it lose the ability to track your workout?

Huge problem Bluetooth doesn't work under water

I used to to have something VERY similar to this by H20 audio for my iPod 4th gen... that looked almost identical to this with this ... however my question is more how does it keep track of you laps and well the over workout.. since it’s not taking your heart beat?

Thank you for the review. Will you let me know how the Bluetooth is working for you. I’ve purchased so many swim headsets and nothing works. Only MP3 type give consistent connection. If you could give me an overall rating 0 bad and 10 great regarding Bluetooth I’d be so appreciative. Thank you again for your review.

I loved the idea but was hoping it would work while *wearing* the watch 🙃 My Aftershokz (first generation, what, 4-5 years old?) just stopped working so researching for new ones. I use my watch for tracking so won't be using this product, but thanks anyway.

Thank you- I’ve been looking for a way to listen to podcasts and audio books while swimming laps! Also- where’s your accent from in the uk? Just curiosity

Hi Lizzy, have fun swimming and listening! Yes I'm from the UK (the Northern parts), although I spent a long time living overseas, so it's a little bit of a mix now.

Thank you for this video! It's been two months since you posted this video. Do you still like them? Have you had the chance to try interval counting yet?

HI Pardis, Thanks for the message, I've been meaning to do a new review - I'll try and get that done asap. I was sent these h2oaudio.com/collections/all-products/products/sonar-underwater-headphones by H@OAudio after my review, these are bone conductor headphones, so just for listening to music with no lapcount feedback. I must admit, when I jump in my endless pool, I always put these on to listen to music, as I never have to stop to adjust, which I had to with the in-ear ones. with the pools closing with covid, I haven't tried the lap count on them. So if you just want to have music, I'd go for the bone conductor ones.
@pardisb44383 жыл бұрын
@@COLINHILLSWIMS Thank you for your reply! The lap count would be incredibly nice, but not at the expense of having to stop to readjust often. Is the quality of the bone conductor ones good? I dismissed them as less-than. Perhaps I was wrong!

@@COLINHILLSWIMS Hi Colin - can you use your apple watch with the bone conductor ones? or you are you back to loading music onto the MP3 player?
@jtaylor86062 жыл бұрын
@@COLINHILLSWIMS It seems from Amazon reviews that a lot of people have issues with the quality of these ones that connect to the Apple Watch. I'm thinking that the fact that the manufacturer has sent you a different set of headphones (with an entirely different use-case - i.e. the others they sent you are just an MP3 player) maybe suggests that the ones reviewed in this video are as bad as the Amazon reviews suggest - failing and needing warranty return after a short period of time, difficult to use, etc - and that that fact is even recognised by the manufacturer, so they gave you something else to review...
@Forrest1824 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm looking at these but I also saw the bone conducting headphones that you can use with the Apple Watch mount. Did you ever have a chance to try those? Or if anyone else here has used them, the feedback would be great. Thank You

can you wear the watch on the wrist? would the bluetooth still connect?
@COLINHILLSWIMS Жыл бұрын
no, you need to put the watch on the connector on the back of the head for it to work.
@kolbyhardy96489 ай бұрын
@@COLINHILLSWIMSwhy? If it’s just using Bluetooth, it shouldn’t matter if the watch is on your head or on your wrist. The Apple Watch doesn’t have any physical ports for these headphones to connect to.

Does the Bluetooth have any issues underwater?
@COLINHILLSWIMS2 жыл бұрын
Bluetooth only works when the watch is attached to the back of the goggles and remains mostly out of the water. I tend to use the bone conductor type now (see my other review on those), but you have to download your music.
@snophy12345 Жыл бұрын
Stupid question I am sure, but how does the watch work when not on your wrist? As in, normally when it’s in contact with your wrist, you enter a code and you are sorted. How does this work when it’s in a case on your head 😂 I want to get the clip and the bone conduction ones. But I am confused how to use the Apple Watch not when on your wrist. Not a very technical person 😂
@Xephinos11 ай бұрын
yeah, it's kind of a dumb thing because it's a lot more accurate on your wrist than on your head lol, to be honest, you're better off if you really committed to getting another cheap Apple watch and just have that as your music player instead of your main. I'm also getting the bone-conducting ones if you want feedback on that! :D And also the separate Apple watch.
@FreDDy-ud3nb6 ай бұрын
Are they better then the bone conduct?
@COLINHILLSWIMS6 ай бұрын
No, I reviewed the bone conductors after these and they are much better overall. although you can't pair the Apple Watch as easy. The technology is still pretty basic with all of these products.

I tend to use the other version ‘bone conductor’ style, I can’t play from my Apple Watch, but the bone conductor ones are stay in place and I never have to stop to adjust.

@@COLINHILLSWIMS so last question. While wearing the stream doing laps did you ever lose a Bluetooth signal?

And yet I swim with it most days and it works fine, as I don't dive down underwater. I admit the other version that I review (bone conductor) works better, but that's only because you don't have 'in-ear' headphones. if you get water in your ears, these aren't so good.
@jtaylor86062 жыл бұрын
@@COLINHILLSWIMS Huh. In your other review one of your own comments says that you don't use these headphones any more, and only use the other bone conductor ones?!? But the bone conductor ones are a different use-case, just an MP3 player, they don't use bluetooth under water.
@COLINHILLSWIMS2 жыл бұрын
@@jtaylor8606 Sorry, you are right that I use the bone conductors now, but the technology in these are simple, the bluetooth is out of the water (on the back of your head), its only the wires and headphones are under water, therefore you can use your Apple Watch via bluetooth. But the other version I reviewed are better, as the headphones sometimes let water in and then you have to stop to adjust them.

Considering you can’t get to the playlist when you’re swimming. You have to take it off every single time you want to change to the song you want. kind of defeats the whole object of being compatible, in my opinion and I think I'll look like a twat wearing my ultra on my head 😅😅 Like I'm showing off or something. I just spent £100 on the bone mojawo ones and find it tiresome and behind the times that it can't pair with apple watch. So back to the drawing board for me.
