Tempo is a one hell of a song, amazingly produced even the producer said that he had companies asking him to make them music like EXO's after he made Tempo and love shot, not to mention the Acabella bridge that no group dared to cover . EXO on another level

Not even an Exo-L but this song is critically acclaimed by most musicians, it’s uniqueness is what make it special. Glad he liked it. I would love him to react to some GOT7 too. Like their b sides since it’s the song they produced themselves. Songs like « Thursday » « eclipse », « teenager »

I agree. I've been in professional audio for 27 years (mostly live, but some studio) and this guy knows what he is talking about. I love the detail he brings to the reactions. I'm constantly annoying people by pointing out detail in mixes, so I can relate.

I thought it was interesting that his critique during Sehun's rap didn't really acknowledge that the lyrics mention stuttering (hence why he rapped it that way) especially since he said it seemed like he couldn't get the words out😂

Tbh the songs/videos are overwhelming on first lesson, it’s easy to miss lyrics but it’s great that he could hear the stutter at first listen.

Exo has mostly mid-tempo, rnb influenced songs, so i think chanyeol and sehun match their rap to that vibe. I like it tho, it's more melodic than usual hiphop rap

I love what he said about Sehun! It might seems like a criticism but it's actually a compliment since the intention was to stutter/sound a little mess. It's hard to focus on the lyrics but I believe that style of rap was very, very intentional and him pointing it out enforced that. I really like Drew's reaction! Hope to see more of him!

Thank you for EXO reaction! This song and MV are in the holy trinity of EXO for me 😉 To be honest, before EXO I really liked only going to the opera house, for complex symphonic music and immaculate singing of all registers. But EXO music is so multilayered and the voices are so unique and effortless singing combining all registers, that I just couldn't help falling in love with them. And their live stages are always unique and so epic that are even better than the polished studio version. Unmatched and versatile. Kings.

sehun was literally rapping about stuttering, that was like, the entire point lol. it was a choice to make it sound 'awkward' you kind of hit the nail on the head without even being aware of it. so i guess that means it was a good rap? LOL

Do Kyungsoo is just incredible in every sense. He is one of the few vocalists who can make your heart flutter and cause a storm of emotions. He manages his deep voice and sweet timbre with such ease that the same part can sound completely different "starting very roughly and ending unrealistically gently". Kyungsoo's unique voice gives each song a unique charm. I'm ready to listen to his voice as much as I want.! Even when Kyungsoo just speaks, he wants to listen and listen to endlessly, such a pleasant voice.

EXO is the only band in the entire K-POP industry, by the way, to this day where literally every member sings amazingly, including rappers and dancers. Minute popularity does not determine the talent and legendarity of the artist, because even after 10 years of his career, EXO songs are literally sung by the whole of Asia, because EXO is the real K-POP. I will never stop admiring this amazing band, even if 40 years pass, let a billion more bands like bts be released, they will never surpass EXO because their music is timeless, this is what defines the legendary artist.

EXO is a diamond not only of SM but of the entire K-POP industry. I sincerely apologize, but the visual effects of EXO are too powerful, as soon as they appear on the stage, they capture you with their dazzle, not letting you go until the very end. What makes a rap part amazing? Do rappers have to follow the formula? And if they don’t, are they considered bad rappers? I don’t know if I’m being biased, but when I listen to other groups, no matter how good the rap parts are, they all sound the same to me. EXO’s rap, on the other hand, has its own character which makes it unique. Messy and awkward? Maybe. But EXO don’t follow the trend. They are always experimental that’s why I don’t expect them to follow typical rap. And who harmonize in their rap parts? If there are other groups that do this, I will acknowledge them, too. I would like to see your opinion on EXO’s Mama, Wolf, El Dorado, Going Crazy, and Jekyll.

I’m an exo Stan but I don’t rate their rapping and he isn’t saying he has to follow the formula but he’s saying that the flow he has was going well and when he switched his flow it sounded awkward and off since so the words don’t go with the beat and in rap regardless of ur tone or words the flow is the most important

All y'all saying it was an experimental choice because exo doesn't follow trends... i'm sorry but no. I'm saying this as an exo-l since debut and without any ill intent : this isn't Sehun's best performance at all, and it did feel messy and awkward. His voice placement is nice but the flow isn't super smooth and he does stumble on his words when the pace speeds up. And it doesn't feel intentional at all, no matter what the lyrics say. It's obvious if you compare it with Chanyeolls verse, which feels way smoother.

Last time, he didn't critique Sehun's rap and this time, he didn't critique Chanyeol's because they both did great. You guys make it seem like EXO always rap messily with these type of responses 😅 they do rap with the flow. Even with Call Me Baby, he didn't say anything about Chanyeol's rap except that it follows a producer choice of rap which means the only real critique he had was for Obession. And if you notice, what he said about Sehun is an actual compliment because THAT'S what Sehun was aiming for.

Maybe because he is just used to western rap, which is just fast talking. Unlike in EXO, they do melodic rap which is more easy to listen and can be touch your heart, like Chanyeol's rap in Promise.
