28:10 That was how actually EXO’s “Tempo” was born. They were playing around and harmonizing, so producers thought to change a little bit and include acapella part in it. Tell me, if I’m wrong :)

Also the intro for damage, the producers which are LDN noise said that it was just chen warming up before recording but they liked it and added it to the final record lol

Good singing does not only require a good voice. A good ear is very important and sense of timing. Its a gift. All of them have those.

They argued with EXO-Ls a lot of times, that EXO are lip syncing or even recorded their concerts already as a “live version” lmao. P.s. I disagree. Definitely not the most agile. Baekhyun literally does vocal gymnastics every chance he gets. DO doesn't even have R&B songs..

@@svellah4388 just because baekhyun released a RnB album doesn't mean he is best, are you even an exo fan, have you watched their concerts and live performances?? baekhyun rarely do runs there, only D.O goes crazy at the end and in middle even during his high 4th octave chest parts so you are clearly not an EXO fan, because you haven't watched their all videos and stuff, also agility depends on how precise your runs and riffs are, are you hitting all the notes during your crescendo and descend in the middle of the pitch or not, so you are either misinformed or not informed at all, baekhyun's runs and riffs are mostly sloppy and he misses many notes in-between during lives too, I am not downgrading him but it's a fact that D.O is regarded as the most agile vocalist in kpop by many vocal coaches and many kpop fans too, he is technically most agile

I don't know why but for every comment where Kyungsoo is praised like this, someone comes and makes comments that put Kyungsoo down like 'no it's not like that, Chen or Baekhyun are better'. Girl i mean why are the fuck you doing this??? Seriously, everywhere Kyungsoo is praised there are comments like this.

As someone who is personally agile, have the ear for runs and can do Jazmine Sullivan runs (yes I study her runs, if you don't know who that is, then take a seat little girl!). Both D.O. & Baekyun's voices are agile. But they differ in how they use it. Bacon can do runs but is quite lacking when it comes to musicality. D.O. have the upper hand when it comes to this as he is heavily influenced with African American Hip-hop R&B music. Bacon doesn't have that. You might have listened to Bacon do crazy runs in his recent album Bambi, but those runs are not spontaneous and is not done without planning. D.O. shines in this aspect cuz he can create runs that are not repetitive and execute it with ease and not sound like he is trying his best. Runs are not about the agility, it is about creativity. And Musicality is the ability to put runs that fit the melody (intuitively), not planned but comes out naturally. D.O. is a natural when it comes to melismas, I still hear Bacon in some of his live performances do sloppy runs. But if it's belting we are talking about, Bacon may take the cake. He just has this ability to go from 0 to 100 when it comes to belting and he rarely breaks. D.O. doesn't take risk past his breaking point with it, which for me is good. But when Bacon goef off belting, it just chef's kiss just like when D.O. goes off doing melismas.

I’d say western producers have always been in kpop. I can say that about SM, I’m not sure about others. If you look what producer produced older songs, you’ll see.

EXO must be easy to work with on the recording stages of a song because most of them are true professional singers level already. If you also noticed in the MV of Cream Soda, EXO just sounds almost the same on what we heard on the raw recording. If you really have great vocalists the production team do not necessarily put so much autotune on the final product. They just put minimal autotune to smoothen everything out in the MV.

EXO's maknae (Sehun) sure is very playful and always get away with it (hyungs spoiled him) but when it's time for live performances he's always good at it..same with the rest of the members they're playful and naughty but when on stage they're always on 🔥🔥🔥 💯%

I love the recording sessions. I wish we had more of them especially from such a group like EXO. I have heard, that for "Tempo" the members were fooling around harmonizing and the producers liked it so much that they changed the song to include the acapella part. I wish we could see this on a video T_T have you ever reacted to Stray Kids recording sessions? the members of the group (namely, 3racha) are doing the vocal engineering, it is so much fun to watch!

as far as changes, kyungsoo has actually stated that he changed his part in Growl, because it sounded too much like another popular song, and he changed the way he was instructed to sing it, and came up with his iconic line in Growl.

Thankyouuuu for reacting to this session. Hear me out is the one for you where you can see the members suggesting their own styles. Btw i feel likw Cream soda is more cheesy than wolf. Bcz wolf is something more like a story telling where it expresses the characters. plz react to Sweet lies, boomerang, oasis live. And call me baby+touch it+chill live(a theater like performance) Also cbx Paper cut and Cry live is a must. You will their different sides. The War album review too.

Would love to see you guys react to more Baekhyun Solo stuff! He has 4 solo albums and have an MV for each title track of each album. In order released: City Light (2019) Delight (2020) Baekhyun (2021) Bambi (2021) He also has an MV for Amusement Park and Young - 2 single songs. Baekhyun also has a video of him covering a song called Our Beloved BoA (a cover of a older popular artist in SM ENT) Another video he starred in is Hurt with Seomoon Tak (a collab basically) Lastly 2 more videos is him singing a song for Riot (gaming/music company) Runners - for League of Legends and Paranoia for again League!

i'd be interested to see you guys react to Monsta X someday! i like their recording behinds in particular because 3 of the members are producers themselves, so they help direct each other which is really fun to watch :) also SHINee & Red Velvet have good ones too!
