I love this performance so much. As they say AJ don't play. We get the most stunning, amazing performance of a 9 yr old of this Jazz standard ever created. I believe it is going to go down in Jazz & Music history as the best ever for this age and in my opinion the best rendition of this song ever created Screamin Jay included. It will be revisited for Decades and will remain relevant for Generations to come. Anyone who discovers this performance for the first time today or a 100 years from today are going to be as amazed and astounded as everybody has been to this point.

Everyone here has already let you know she was 9 years 2 months old and wrote the arraignment herself. This was not put on YT until after she turned 10 so the date is confused.

Thank you for featuring Angelina a second time, I hope you will do many more reactions to her, as she is well worth every nanosecond you spend on her. I have watched and listened to her in awe since she released her first video on KZbin, and what has been evident to me from the start is that she sings with total conviction, despite the fact that she is far too young to have experienced the events suggested in the lyrics of the song she has chosen to sing. But it is not only that, for strange as it may seem is the even more remarkable fact that she can convey the appropriate emotions within those lyrics to her listener.

Angelina Jordan (AJ) is known for her patience with others and her very good manners. She handed her arrangements to the band leader with the words "this are my wishes" but she was definitely the one calling the shots. That day she was nicknamed "THE BOSS" with a lot of respect and Adornment. Today she is HIGHLY RESPECTED in the music industry for her uncanny feeling for music.

Angelina does not come from a musical background. She was literally born to sing. There is video of her at 1-1/2 singing a few lines of I Will Always Love You.

At the start of the video we see Angelina writing her 'wishes' for how she wanted to sing the song. The musicians who worked with her called her "the boss". She was around her 9th birthday for this incredible arrangement and performance. We don't know why the video wasn't uploaded to KZbin until about a year after it was recorded. I love to see Angelina reflecting about the performance at the very end of the video.

Even now, all these years later, most of her performances are done barefooted. Her version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was so well-done that the members of Queen let her trademark her version of the song.

Angelina was 9 years old in this performance - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes and it is read by the bandleader. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings.
