Hello! Since my reaction to BTS on MAMA was deleted because of copyright, I decided to upload this one instead. (It has my old handle/username, new one is @YongxLuv) If you want to see my reaction to their MAMA performance, it's on my Patreon. I can't upload it to KZbin again, since I also got a strike.. I'm sad but it's not something I can do anything about. More BTS coming soon!

I fell down the BTS rabbit hole late Feb/March this year. I'm 51 years old from New Zealand. Don't worry... I cry all the time lol. I already like who I am as a person. I've spent years learning how to. But they inspire me and remind me to love myself. To be brave, try new things, things I've never told other people about because like RM, I fear criticism. What I want might be easy for someone else to imagine doing, it's a mountain for me. They've given me courage to pull up my big girl pants and rise to the challenge. I'm becoming a slayer of dragons and it's thanks to them. So I cry out of connectiveness to them and out of gratitude to them.

I was at some point feeling lost in life when I found these boys. It was 5 years ago. I was attracted to their choreography at first then I started to listen to their lyrics, and it spoke my mind. Like they understood. Like they too, had been through what I had been through. Their determination, hard work and bond amazed me. One thing I always say is BTS, they're good people. I watched them from 5 years ago and they.never.change. The only thing that changed is they become more mature. I love them so much, more than just a 'screaming fan'. I genuinely wish them happiness and peace of mind and a strong heart. I was 20, 21 yo when I found them, I was a student. I'm 26 now and a working adult, it feels like we grew together. The memories, the up the low and everything in between, I'll cherish them. I hope BTS brings you joy and positive energy, Yong. even just a bit. Love, ARMY 💜

I’m also an older army. BTS comes and sort of whisks you away when you didn’t even know you needed them. (And you suddenly realize yes, you needed them!!!) There are fans all over the world in all walks of lives. With the sheer size of the fandom, sometimes negativity also follows inevitably like a shadow, but I believe that the majority of the fandom is still nice genuine people like yourself, all inspired from the same words and messages in BTS music that so resonate with them, no matter the gender and age. Welcome to the fandom. Buckle up because it’s going to be an emotional ride. (My ultimate bias is Jimin!!!, but I love each and every one of the members. They are all so dear to my heart.) 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I think its because for so long I was taught it was a sin to be so prideful to love yourself that I never learned how. And now, at 29 years old I discovered BTS. All of a sudden, when I have negative thoughts about myself I stop and think "this is not loving myself" and change my thinking pattern. No other Kpop band went through what BTS went through. They can't possibly comprehend the level of hate that these (at that time) boys were subjected to sometimes for just existing. However, BTS and Vet Armys took those and used them to fuel their strive for success and it worked. HARDWORK and TALENT are just some of the qualities that got them where they are now, yet remained humble. Their beginning will always be the foundation of their outlook in this industry. They are friends with so many Idols which is utterly amazing. When Jin called out the dishonesty in the business, he purposely included all the other idols. In reference to their beginning, they have become amazing philanthropists both in their country and abroad. They share their success emotionally, physically, and monetarily.

"Am I going to need to bring tissues...?" ... Yes, you are. But that's OK. I've seen this video several times and I still weep - and I;m not sorry about that, nor should you be. TBH I think that this video must be a lot out of date now, because BTS has grown so much. I suspect that the figures about ARMY make up must be wrong. There are millions of ARMY who have not paid for the membership through Weverse, but they are still ARMY. I suspect that the % who are over 50 is much higher than 4% - I'm 65 and I know a LOT of ARMYs in the UK are over 50, or even older than me! And we have a lot of ARMYs who are male too. Every time someone talks about "screaming fans" (and they mean screaming girls) my heart clenches a little into a fist. First, there is nothing wring with passionate girls, and second, I don;t scream - I drop my voice and it echos off the hills, much louder than a scream. ARMY are all sorts of people, and yes, while ever anyone is honest about BTS, we will be kind and we will welcome all points of view. Yong, you are indeed becoming a little bit of ARMY I think, and perhaps that's inevitable if you continue to react to their work. They are phenomenal, and far outstrip any other band - in my eyes. But it IS possible to stan other groups as well as BTS, you CAN be a fan of Mamamoo AND be an ARMY - you won;t be the first, nor the last. To be ARMY, you don't need to know every track from BTS - you don't even need to LIKE all of them - all that is required is your decision to love and support them for as long as they are here. If that is your feeling, then you ARE ARMY already. Welcome.

One day I will be amongst the purple sea. One day I will be jumping up. One day I'll be crying with strangers because we can relate. One day I'll be holding hands amongst the sea with people I don't know as we all appreciate the 7 men In front of us telling us that loving ourself is more worthy than love for another. We are more than a couple million people, we are people who found them when we needed them most.

I'm an ARMY and i'm telling you that there will be some other people who will try to bring you down or say some harsh things about your comments but just ignore them, remember to LOVE YOURSELF 😊💜 And these boys ( yeah we still call them boys ) can make you cry and laugh at the same time..😊 Thank you for reacting to BTS and for your kind words towards them, we appreciate it 💜

Just letting u know that Jin and Moonbyul had or r still have got texting/chatting room w few others fellow idols (born 1992) and when they spoke about each other it was always in a warm way. You can find compilations of those two interacting/reacting on yt, those clips will just melt your heart 😊

I mean 🤷🏻♀️ I have cried cry soooo much with and for BTS since 2015. It’s understandable, their journey is sometimes heart wrenching yet inspiring and beautiful. So I’m not surprised when reactors cry (genuinely), that just means you are understanding the depth of their journey.

All BTS 7 members are board members of the 'The Recording Academy ' (the Grammys) and get to vote. You must register and submit to be considered for specific categories and approved by the Academy. Some submissions get in, some don't , but, you know there are at least 7 solid votes from the members of BTS themselves for their submitted categories. Those that made it in makes all BTS members able to vote for their own nominations. ( RM has said in an interview that they are able to vote for themselves).
