Dimash is often compared with female singers who can achieve the same high notes and I've listened to a lot of them in the past. The one difference I've found is that he maintains a fullness and richness of tone whereas all other singers tend to sound thin and often shrill when they reach the top of their range.

It's dimash song,not cover. I am sure no one can sing this song like Dimash, Vocally and technically it's is extremely difficult song, first of all his angelic classical head voice is incomparable, then the breath control is out of this world, his dinamic control is insane, there is no words and what he did is unreal, F6 in head voice is challenge for any soprano and he sang it's effortlessly, and the last part is really unbelievable, first of all 6th octave onset is extremely hard to do without loosing control, C6 with 15 second with decrescendo & duminuendo and of course phenomenal vibrato.i looked earlier to see if anyone had ever sung the Massa di Voche like that and only found one soprano who could do it. Many people know this technique, but to do it in such a high register is unimaginable and nowadays I'm sure only a few can do it. As for the song as a whole, his years of hard work are clearly visible, because what he did vocally requires incredible skills and technique. His head voice is a phenomenon because there is no male singer who has or had such a head voice, he sounds exactly like a soprano and moreover in the high register his head voice is much richer and stronger than most sopranos.

Dimash is just amazing, isn't it? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. Igor Krutoy composed this version of Ave Maria at the request of Dimash. Since Dimash is Muslim, his Ave Maria has no lyrics. He sings for all people, no matter what religion they belong to.

I don’t know Dimash and Igor decided on not using words because they are of different religions, because they perform a song called Passionne which has words and would be considered a catholic piece, I think. But whatever the reason for no words here, their version of Ave Maria is magnificent, stunning, heavenly.

The only thing that makes the song seem "Catholic" are the images in the background. Angels and Hell as in Dante's Inferno. But angels and hell also exist in the Koran. Even Jews (like Igor Krutoy) believe in angels, but not the kind of hell we imagine. However, I agree with you that, for example, the Ave Maria by Caccini/Vavilov also has no text. I know that Mary also has a high status in the Koran, but not as the mother of God. And I can imagine that it would be funny for Dimash (and Igor) to sing lyrics about Mary as the mother of God. I think the song should be a kind of prayer of all religions. So no text. But that's just my opinion. We probably won't really know😉. And of course you are right, Ave Maria is one of his most beautiful and admirable songs, with or without lyrics🥰❤️.

There’s always more with Dimash - he is next level as a singer and performer; and then there are all his other talents - composer, multi-instrumentalist, linguist, producer, model, actor, director, academic, writer, businessman, humanitarian, patriot. He also plays soccer, martial arts Taekwondo and as you’ve mentioned, swimming. And to top it off Dimash doesn’t take all these God given talents for granted, he is humble, grateful, respectful, modest, generous and kind. Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. Dimash asked Igor to write him an ethereal Ave Maria and he certainly got one. When Dimash was asked recently about his working relationship with Igor and I believe they were talking contractually (hard to tell when it's in a foreign language and you're reading subtitles) Dimash said, when Igor writes, I sing. Fantastic Reaction!!! It was Dimash who asked Igor Krutoy (the pianist) and #1 composer in Russia (who came out of retirement to work with Dimash whenever possible--he has become a mentor and almost like a father) to write this vocalize version, which I feel is brilliant on the part of Dimash. I understand that Krutoy took the major chords from both versions (Schubert and Gounod) to establish the base of the composition. Because there are so many languages on the planet, Dimash didn’t want actual words to interfere. Just notes and emotion - therefore, it becomes a universal performance that everyone can feel.

Dimash does vocalize in another song called Know, also written by Igor. The first performance, Know New Wave is with lyrics and with Igor. It is stunning. Dimash takes it to another level in concert, sitting flat on his backside while vocalizing the entire song and doing it to a point where the audience is mesmerized. I know because he did it in New York and I am not sure anyone was breathing including me. Know from Kiev is absolutely stunning as is the one from New York. Do all three! Trust me, we are here for it.

I accidentally discovered Dimash about 9 months ago. I had noticed the Ava Maria video several times. Put off watching it because I had heard it several times in the past by various artist. Always thought it was a nice piece, just not to my liking. After 3 or 4 months I thought, I've watched a few Dimash videos where he completely changed the original version of a song magnificently. After watching this video,I was kicking myself in the butt for being an idiot. I absolutely love this video. That ending is just....lilting. Keep going honey, your doing great. See you soon.

Dear TYLR, This song is insane. The great thing is that Dimash doesn't need words here to be understood. I, for my part, like to hear high notes, but unfortunately with many singers they sound unpleasantly shrill to my ears, like whistles from referees at a football match. This is not the “Ave Maria” you know. Dimash asked Igor to write this for him and this is what Dimash is vocalizing now! Some people only know Schubert’s version or Bach-Gounod’s version but there are over 60 different “Ave Maria’s” out the in the musical world. 😊

It was a premiere, not a cover. This is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied piano. This is a new one by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream"

This Ave Maria vocalise is a new composition by Igor written specifically for Dimash. My understanding is vocalise or “vocalizzi” in Italian is singing a melody without lyrics by using a vowel. Dimash is using “a” in this song. There is also a version of Dimash’s song Know in vocalise.
