Igor Krutoy the guy who wrote the music for this song is a famous Russian composer who came out of semi retirement just to compose for Dimash. You made a reaction to Sinful Passion and at the end you can see Igor Krutoy in the audience giving standing ovation to Dimash. He is the guy in the white shirt. When I heard Stranger for the very first time I had a kind of a movie in my head immediately. Dimash is incredible.

Honestly though his high notes are actually getting better with age. Low notes too, obviously. Proof that he trains smart. I love his low notes in Love of Tired Swans, in the Almaty concert. So much more powerful and dark than usual. You can tell hes been practicing that a lot.

This was the premier of this song at the New Wave in Sochi 2021 written especially for Dimash by Igor Krutoy, it was performed in China later that year but not for the Singer show. In 2021 Dimash went back to China to appear on the Shine Super Brothers show where well known artists teamed up to perform group tasks and perform together. Dimash was sick during the show and although he went on to do some awesome team performances you could clearly see him struggling when he performed Stranger. His illness unfortunately led to him having to leave the show halfway through but he is still friends with the rest of the team over a year later despite not having been able to return to China due to the reintroduction of quarantine measures.

Obviously as the song premiered in 2021 it couldn't have been on the Singer which was years before the song was written and even before Dimash started working with Igor Krutoy.

This was an epic performance in every way. It shows Dimash's continuous growth from the first song you've seen him sing to today. Most would have thought he had "arrived" after watching his first song. But no. He continued to improve his voice, added a low octave lower, made it stronger, improved his lung capacity and his breath control, improved his English tremendously (it could improve some move), improved his animation, movement and showmanship on stage, improved the production quality of his shows to become state of the art, etc... At the rate of how hard Dimash works on his craft EVERY SINGLE DAY, believe it or not, I expect and almost can guarantee his shows in 5 years to absolutely eclipse what you saw today.

Dimash is a clear example of what we can do when we dedicate our lives to something. Since his classical vocal and instrumental training began at age 5, he decided to rehearse 6 hours a day. He lived with his grandparents and they were poor, but made strong sacrifices to send him to the premier children's music school in the country. Many of his current musicians and backup singers are those friends he attended school with. His mother is a beautiful soprano and approached her vocal coach to ask him to privately train Dimash. He refused at first as he had made a decision to neve train the child of a former student, but Sveta pushed him and promised him Dimash would be a great student, so he relinquished. Dimash was born with really good musical talent, but he pushed himself to be better and better, to expand vocal octaves more and more and he now has over 7 octaves of vocal range under his belt. I mean I agree with the sentiment in your message about what we COULD do if we dedicate ourselves and give 120%, but at the same time, we just HAVE to give credit to how inhumanly gifted he is in terms of internal structure of his body. It's no coincidence that men can go deeper and women higher - that's not because they didn't dedicate themselves enough, it's because there's literally a hardcapped limit to most, or rather the vast majority of bodies. You can definitely train and my god so he did, but the gift he got that is his body is at least equally as impressive, although not controllable, the sheer rarity of it is just crazy. Then add the fact that there's probably so many people gifted with all kinds of different talents, but they never get to explore them and such remain unknown. For all we know there are people among us eating Einstein's intelligence (generalizing here obviously) for breakfast, but they never got to develop that knack of theirs. (Makes you think about your own body and what it naturaly might lean into right?) But yeah, Dimash is absolutely insane. No doubt he worked his instrument for than I could ever have worked for anything and at the same time he's been blessed and gifted and touched by all the angels. Completely nuts.

The man who often is playing the kobys in Dimash’s performance is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter and at the stage performance in Stranger. Samaltau is about a young Kazakh who was forcibly recruited by Russia in 1916. He was forced to leave his home country and his elderly parents to go to war (WWI) and does not know what awaits him there as a soldier or how his elderly parents are to manage without him. Remember when we said tip of the iceberg? Yeah, tip. You still have not seen Ikanaide which he sings in Japanese, or Samaltau or him playing instruments or him dancing. There is just no end. Now his baby brother is putting out videos of himself playing piano, drums etc and although he is a pretty shy young man and does not normally sing that I have seen, he is another incredible artist. He does that tribal sound in various videos, the MV Qairan Elim which he did during the pandemic and after losing a couple of mentors and teachers to covid.
