MJ knew how to drive a dance song. It’s actually harder than people think. He’s able to add the vocal tone, timber, runs, ad libs and vocal percussion to make it interesting

My guy on the right is me whenever I listen to Michael lol, I cannot sit still. The funk was in him big time. Some of his demos have incredible ad-libs and percussive intricacies in them too. Also recommend 'Monkey Business' which is an unofficial track which didn't make the cut for the Dangerous album, but has some really great vocal moments.

I love the comparison of MJ’s vocals to a harmonica. I think some of the best singers have the ability to sound a lot like instruments like Chaka sounds like a trumpet.
