I'm an Old Guy who has been working with lots of technologies for lots of decades. I've used Cakewalk from the Olden Days when it was Sonar, but I recently bought a Novation Launchkey 61 when my beloved old Roland D60 gave out... I'm learing a whole lot from your lessons. Excellent tutorials. Thank you. My Ableton Live is different than yours in that it does not contain the same sounds and instruments as you do. So as I'm following the lessons, I dragged other instruments from my Ableton onto the midi tracks. But I'm finding that some of these do not have record buttons, I can play them using the keyboard, but when I click record, no sound or recording happens. Are there different types of instruments, sounds and such categories that behave differently? Thank you again.

Great video, but I have one noob question that should be obvious, but isn't. How can I set the other clips in a scene to play in session view when I hit record in another clip in the scene. That is, I want to be able to record while the other clips play. I've already got "start playback with record" enabled in options. Thanks!
