Boys ll men did form while in a Philadelphia high school for the performing arts. Getting their name from a New Edition song. There were originally 5 members, but right before they hit it big, one member quit due to his girlfriend at the time becoming pregnant. They were discovered in 1988 by Michael Bivens of Bell Biv DeVoe. Who were original members of another "boy band" called New Edition.

This is a classic. Over 30 years old. Their music was great & their style was always so fun. I also love their song 'I'll make love to you'. And Giggles, I mean Clotey, have you been spiking your coffee this morning? LOL You both are adorable.

They are from Philly and were discovered by Kenny,(Babyface) Edmonds. Babyface was also one of the four guys who wrote this song

They got discovered by Michael bivens of new edition not bbd because bel biv devoe wasn't a thing yet, boyz ii men snuck backstage a a new edition gig and auditioned for mike and they got they're band name from a new edition song called boys to men

My Sisters played this so often , I knew the words by heart and yet they were not what I listened too. I was more into the Rolling sTONES and Country Music or Blue grass.

Home Free does a beautiful rendition of this song! In fact, Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men member) was a judge on "The Sing Off" show which Home Free won in season 4 (I think it was season 4)! 🤠That was 10 years ago! Great reaction🤠

Oh yeah, they went to school with Tariq Trotter, Amir Quest love of The Roots who are the band for Jimmy Fallon and platinum selling rapper Beanie Seagel.
