Yes those were the days the clubs or to full.. But now for example out here in Bay Ridge Brooklyn and elsewhere are still ghost towns after 1 am. The only fine about two dozen people in a venue. It's never crowded like it used to be in these places people afraid to get close to each sort of.. Bay Ridge was really happening a few years ago. People will come all the way from Jersey. No more all we got a lot of his dirty streets with less people out I don't get it

When you're alone and life is making you lonely You can always go - downtown When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry Seems to help, I know - downtown Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty How can you lose? The lights are much brighter there You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares So go downtown, things'll be great when you're Downtown - no finer place, for sure Downtown - everything's waiting for you Don't hang around and let your problems surround you There are movie shows - downtown Maybe you know some little places to go to Where they never close - downtown Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova You'll be dancing with him too before the night is over Happy again The lights are much brighter there You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares So go downtown, where all the lights are bright Downtown - waiting for you tonight Downtown - you're gonna be all right now And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to Guide them along So maybe I'll see you there We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares So go downtown, things'll be great when you're Downtown - don't wait a minute more Downtown - everything's waiting for you 1964 Welbeck Music Ltd., London, England. Just look at how everyone is dressed up and civilized acting - no homeless people, no strange behavior, no trash sitting on the sidewalks or street just people who know how to behave in public. That is what I was brought with and so I know how to do it myself. God how I love the calmness and safe feelings this gave everyone. And believe me it is gone now in our society, gone forever I think.

What a load of Boomer horse crap. Do you know how many people got murdered in the cities for many decades leading up to the last three? There happens to be no garbage in the streets in this carefully shot and timed music video. There has always been/is/and always will be trash in NYC streets because that dumb city has no alleys to keep it out of the way. And as for "strange behavior", what kind of ass-clown sees a city and says "Boy I hope everyone there acts normal!". Listen Boomer, you and your family probably lived in Levittown then moved out when you could. Quit opining about shit like this. Btw, what is "strange" behavior? Have you ever been to NYC, actually? You should go

London does not have a downtown and nor do any other British towns or cities. British cities do have town centres or city centres. "Downtown" is an an American designation. "Downtown" for Londoners is meaningless. Central London is the innermost part of London spanning several boroughs. It is just that, it’s never ‘downtown. There are two unique Londons. You have London and then you have the City of London, which is a seperate entity. London ìs not built on a grid system like American cities and so Uptown and Downtown doesn't rèally apply to London.
