This album from Lisa and Patrick Cassidy is Lisa's most magnificent album, maybe... I've loved it since its release, and each time it sends shivers down my spine, especially this piece.... It is not cheerful music to say the least, if not gloomy, but it speaks to my soul... an indefinite feeling of majestic melancholy ... The sountrack to a peaceful winter landscape in the countryside... life just sleeping, not absent but almost... I really wish they would do another album together.

There are some people who love this music for sure. Many... it depends here... :)

Where do you live Szymon ? I know it is rare, yet, compared to people who mention Madonna and Lady Gaga or some more common rock music as references... I know ! I'm lucky that Dead Can Dance and Gerrard have a kind oif cult status in France, at least circa PAris (I hate some of those "intellectual snobs" who seem to go to their concerts, yet). I even heard people who loved DCD who didn't especially liked this album... But I did, and it was among my top 3 albums of the years when it was released, when I was writing in a progressive rock fanzine and a webzines.... It is just classical music of the 2000's, but accessible one, even though simple and not dissonant nor atonal. I've got more difficulty to *love* with what Lisa has done recently - it's far from being bad but I think her inspiration is slightly fading...

Se si esclude la lirica, non ho mai incontrato nella contemporaneità voce più pura di questa. Tanti sono i cantanti, pochi i cantori. Lei una cantrice, di primissimo piano!!!

Stumbled upon this...are there more hidden Lisa Gerrard gems? I loved her sound when I first heard her sing Sanvaen some years ago on a random trance CD by Paul Oakenfold. I have unearthed some dazzling hidden gemsof hers...this is maybe the best.

She is credited on the OST with two songs. One is called "The End Music" and the other is a remix with Hybrid called "Man on Fire". =)
