6:55 Andrew said that his mouth was incredibly dry from anxiety during this performance and that's why he kept doing that thing with his lips 😭 something always goes wrong when he performs at the tony's

@@BreCheese000 The musical has a reputation for being blasphemous and everything, but it doesn't touch on any of the controversies around the church (which I have never had any interaction with). Pretty sure there was a sex grooming scandal a while back, and recently three highly placed members of the church (they had received the second annointment, whatever that means) were found to have embezzled millions of dollars of church funds.

I'm curious if anyone thinks that the really closed eee sound is a stylistic choice. Just going by how they pronounce Mormon earlier. Going for a nasally nerdy sound.

Could the tension in singing "believe" be on purpose because Andrew is singing in character? (Idk if that's even the right thing to call it). Also the song Man Up has quite a bit of moving around while singing. Very fun (and tiring) to watch.
@SongsFromASuitcase3 жыл бұрын
hmmm it could be a character choice

i mean that maybe the way he is creating the character voice happens to result in the tension. not that he's deliberately tensing up in order to create the sound. i hope that makes sense...

Hello Songs From A Suitcase! Thank you for the great channel. I'm a new subscriber. I couldn't see how to send you a reaction request in the community section, so I'll post it here hoping you will see it. I would love for you to do a reaction or two of Luis Miguel. I am not a very good singer, and I don't speak Spanish, but when I listen to Luis Miguel my soul stirs and I want to sing out and speak fluent Spanish. I would suggest KZbin videos: "Luis Miguel - No Sé Tú (video official)" or "Luis Miguel - Medley Romance (Vivo) 4/6". Thanks for the wonderful analysis. It really helps me as a non-singer increase my level of appreciation for vocalists. Thank you.
