This is undoubtedly the best live version of Sultans, it's always good live, but this is just the pinnacle. I love the line about Guitar George not wanting to make the guitar cry and scream which is exactly what Mark is doing. Drummer, Keyboard and Sax all brilliant and Clapton just quietly strumming away as if he was sitting at home by the fire. A true work of art/genius and yes the adverts interrupting it are criminal. Lucky enough to see Mark live I think in 2018 or 2019, can't remember now, but he was fantastic.

It took me 20 years to realize that what it was great it wasn't only mk but the entire band, the keyboards make a wonderful harmony, the bass also is making great harmoney, even if mk play solo, it's not the same, they were a great band.

If you havent seen it look watch the brothers in arms version of the nelson mandela concert (this concert) it is one of if not the best version of the song I have heard. Verry different from the on the night version but just as good.

@@pepijnvb1484 Yes, I read that about Jack also somewhere. And I´ve seen the Brothers in Arms version, and you are right, it was brilliant. To be honest, I liked most versions from the Brothers in Arms tour more than the versions of the On every street tour. (Apart from cutting off the intro of Money for Nothing), maybe because it was a tour mostly in big stadia, it all became too big and too much - maybe one of the reasons Mark disbanded the band afterwards.
