My dad used to listen to the Bee Gees a lot. He knew the words to most of their songs and each time he sang a song by the Bee Gees, he sang it with so much passion. Last year he passed away, Rest in peace Henry Thompson.

I wouldn’t say “lasted” that’s implying they aren’t still lasting lmao I mean obviously they aren’t making new music but I grew up in the early 2000s, it’s not like their music was insanely relevant. But my sister in the early 2010s became obsessed with The Bee Gees and knew every song and threw that I ended up hearing a million of their songs I wouldn’t of otherwise that I ended up loving. They also have so many songs like Mr Natural, Massachusetts or I Started a Joke that weren’t “following a trend” at all to what the other dude said

After work and had dinner. I looked around and listened to the Bee Gee's until sleeping time. Relaxes my day's stress at work 🙃. I danced to the Disco musics until I get tired. I had the chance two times 1968 in Köln Cologne and 1897 in Frankfurt, never forget the first one starting the concert in the absolute darkness of the hall with New York mining desaster 1941. Not understand the background with my age of 15. This comes later. But anyway i had seen them and I am only sad to get no other chance. There were some tours later but not in Germany or I haven‘ t consider.

My favorite segment of this are the performances in the early 1960s. You can really see their love of music and their love for performing! Such adorable, natural talent is something we just don’t see today! So sad for Barry, to have lost all of his brothers far too soon. The Rolling Stones have shown remarkable longevity and I would say they are equally famous. 75 years is stretching it. 60 years would be more accurate (they were formed in 1962, the year I first saw them in Cambridge). However they are a quintessential rock and roll band and have never been anything else. The Beatles evolved, as did the Bee Gees, although the Beatles also broke up. Now Mick Jagger is the only survivor of the original Stones. Like the Beatles and the Bee Gees, two of the early members have died.

People obviously loved them and still do today. I'd have to pick the Bee Gees for variety and longevity but both bands were integral in the 70's. Abba babysat my first born while I did housework. He'd sit on the floor watching them sing and didn't move an inch. He would be horrified if he knew that. It kinda just came to me thinking back to that time. We were blessed with such amazing talent.

Already knew them since childhood but wasnt a fan then; just like the melody. Now, recently hooked to Bee Gees songs and never expected how great the lyrics are! And how many hit music they produced! They really are amazing song writers and not to mention their humble personalities. Just finish watching their documentary by the way. Its so inspiring. Made me appreciate life more. RIP Andy, Maurice and Robin. You will always be remembered and Bee Gees will always stay forever. And to Barry, sending you lots of love and good health. This may be too much but I wish you continue to write songs because I know it’s your passion and gives you pleasure. May you always do what you love. @@victoriannecastle I love that song too. Maurice and Barry sang well together. After Mo died so did the Bee Gees. He was integral to their unique sound that Barry and Robin couldn't achieve together. His talent and contribution wasn't appreciated before he died. That breaks my heart as he should have been given lead on songs that suited his amazing vocal range. RIP Mo 💖💘
