My dad used to listen to the Bee Gees a lot. He knew the words to most of their songs and each time he sang a song by the Bee Gees, he sang it with so much passion. Last year he passed away, Rest in peace Henry Thompson.

I wouldn’t say “lasted” that’s implying they aren’t still lasting lmao I mean obviously they aren’t making new music but I grew up in the early 2000s, it’s not like their music was insanely relevant. But my sister in the early 2010s became obsessed with The Bee Gees and knew every song and threw that I ended up hearing a million of their songs I wouldn’t of otherwise that I ended up loving. They also have so many songs like Mr Natural, Massachusetts or I Started a Joke that weren’t “following a trend” at all to what the other dude said

@@tomasfernandez5207 I think it is a fair comparison in context. The Rolling Stones have shown remarkable longevity and I would say they are equally famous. 75 years is stretching it. 60 years would be more accurate (they were formed in 1962, the year I first saw them in Cambridge). However they are a quintessential rock and roll band and have never been anything else. The Beatles evolved, as did the Bee Gees, although the Beatles also broke up. Now Mick Jagger is the only survivor of the original Stones. Like the Beatles and the Bee Gees, two of the early members have died.

The BeeGees are hands down my favorite group. I have listened and loved their music for 45 years! I get lost in their harmonies and get goosebumps with so many of their songs. I have now introduced my grandkids to their music and they now love the BeeGees too. A whole new generation is getting exposed to these incredibly talented men!

My favorite group, too. So many of their songs are just entrancing and amazing. Their talent was miraculous. They were real family men (Barry still is), and that helps me understand something of their creation of such beautiful love songs. They came from the heart. They honestly amaze me every time i hear them. God bless them all, on both sides of the veil. I hope Barry knows they will all be together again and even be able to continue creating unique and beautiful music if that is what they choose.

Already knew them since childhood but wasnt a fan then; just like the melody. Now, recently hooked to Bee Gees songs and never expected how great the lyrics are! And how many hit music they produced! They really are amazing song writers and not to mention their humble personalities. Just finish watching their documentary by the way. Its so inspiring. Made me appreciate life more. RIP Andy, Maurice and Robin. You will always be remembered and Bee Gees will always stay forever. And to Barry, sending you lots of love and good health. This may be too much but I wish you continue to write songs because I know it’s your passion and gives you pleasure. May you always do what you love. Hearing your music and your story makes me forget about depression and makes me want to love life, try my best, achieve my dreams and be humble. Thank you for these inspirations💙🥹
