Toni Gonzaga, aside from being a good host and singer, is also a good actress and her genre is romantic comedy/comedy. But she is actually an introvert, total opposite of her sister, Alex Gonzaga.

"Kinabahan siya" = "He/She got nervous." From the root word "kaba," meaning "nervousness" or "worry" or "anxiety," insert the infix "-in-" and attach the suffix "-han" to make it a verb. "Kinabahan ako" = I felt nervous or anxious (past tense). "Punta" = "to go somewhere"; "Pinuntahan" = the place that someone went to; also "Pinuntahan niya" = he/she went there. The Tagalog third-person singular pronoun "siya" (receiver of the action) and "niya" (doer of the action) don't denote gender so they can refer to "he" or "she."

8:29 Many old people believe that contacting something cold after being exposed to heat for an extended period will cause permanent tremors (involuntary shaking) to some body parts, especially the hands and feet. That's why washing of hands after ironing some clothes isn't considered a good practice.

"KILÍG"-- I don't understand why, or at least I haven't heard a proper translation of this word from a fellow pinóy. To me "kilíg" means THRILL, as in feeling a thrill in looking at your idol, or better yet, getting a handshake from him or her or it!🤣. It is now used as an " expression--but not when I was still in the old country.

Well tagalog is more complicated than english specially those deep tagalog words.. I believe there are lots of vlogs about Can filipinos speak tagalog fluently?.. well not at all. That is why, I am sooo amaze with filipino teachers. Here in the Philippines, even though tagalog is our national language but people in other regions are more fluent in English. I'm glad I love Filipino Subject before and history 😁 though I'm not tagalog, our Language is Bisaya but I can speak fluent tagalog with no bisaya accent.

Nakakaumay doesn't have a direct English translation. It means you've had enough of something. It is usually associated with food. For example, if you eat Skyflakes for 1 week straight. You can say "nakakaumay na ang Skyflakes" because you've been eating the same food for 1 week you wanted to eat something else.

nakakaumay is if you're fed up or fatigued with the taste of a certain kind of food...like if you eat a cake and it's too sweet...you say...it's nakakaumay...or if you eat something that's too fatty...you say that the fat is nakakaumay. it's too much of something.
